? 9tails-attack?

I was just watching the 1st ep of Naruto when the 9tails attacks the Village and I was thinking about how it was weird that no Uchiha from the village tried to stop it with Sharingan or anything(i dont rember seein any uchiha crest on any of the nin. fightin). It sure would seem like the current Leader of the Uchiha then would know how to atleast stop the 9tails.

I wonder why Minato didnt try sealing the 9tails back into Kushina right off the bat, to save her life. Didn't seem like he really even thought of it, probably had no time to think I guess.

No because when that attack was going on itachi mentioned his mother and father were out of the village. Itachi was baby sitting Sasuke. Fugaku had no clue what was going on.

Maybe because Minato did not know that re-sealing a bijuu would save the host? Kurama was the one who came up with that plan.
