gai being the only one that has ever been shown to master the gates would have known and said if the gates utilize natural energey and anyway how can the gates utilize natural energy when the gates themselves only are limitors to slow down the flow of chakra and releasing them just opens up your body to all your chakra at once...there is no natural energy going into the body their is no other chakra going into the body the gates release and give u all your chakra at once...#Ridiculousness

I think the Nature energy comes in on the eigth gate ( A sort of gate that STOPS the energy from coming in ).
He's filled with a ^*%#% load of Nature energy, making him OP as hell, then he turns into a statue because he can't handle the Nature energy ( That's the "Dieing" bit )
