Watching this whole war one thing I've always wondered about was what was the whole purpose of Obito wanting Sasuke to be there and what was his purpose of helping him with EMS. At first I thought it was possibly to get Sasuke to join there side but they never seemed to concerned with that even once Sasuke joined to battle field. Then I figured maybe Madara needed to transfer eyes with him but his goal is more towards getting the other rinnengan. Then two things happened with Madara, first was him mentioning that he was cultivating a new pair of eye, the other was with his first encounter with Sasuke he tried to recruit him to his side then after being denied he said oh well he will be dieing soon anyway. So it got me thinking who would need a new pair of eyes and then I thought of what the first said and Sasuke mentioning that he remained him of Madara's younger brother and just so happen Madara's younger brother no longer has eyes. So taking that into account I believe Madara lied about the death of his brother in order to protect him and the mysterious man is Madara's younger brother coming to collect.

At first I thought it was Kabuto (in fact up until a few hours ago), but I'm leaving myself open to a few possibilities.

One of the scenarios I played out in my head was that maybe all of the events that transpired at Minato's location ended quickly, and moments after reviving Naruto, Obito heads to Sasuke's location to use Rinne Tensei on him.

Of course it's a long shot, but crazier things have occurred in this series.

Edit: I forgot to add that the evil presence Karin senses is Black Zetsu.

I think its more realistic that Madara wants to revive his brother and give him a strong set of eyes.

But he is dead. If you agree with OP about Madara lying about his brothers death you have to take into account that Tobirama killed him on a battlefield, a public place with many witnesses.

Tell me; what purpose would another Obito serve to the story? There's no reason for there to be another Obito. Having one Obito is already too much for my taste.

Izuna didn't die on the battlefield it was not known by hashirama and tobirama until later when Madara stated that Izuna had died from his wound. So it could easy be that he was left in a severely weakened state so he offered his eyes to Madara in order to strengthen him and Madara claimed that he had died to protect him from any further attacks since they were still at war with the senju and was now blind.
Side note: It was also believed that Madara had died by the hands of Hashi but we see how that turned out.
