They were only seeing Illusion. IF sharingan allowed them to see through Genjutsu then why did they need to Realease Kaguya Genjutsu by casting two more genjutsu to each other. U_U

nagato couldn't use any jutsu when he was in sound Genjutsu and all of his 6 path were idle. that's why Jiraiya could easily destroy 3 paths . At that time jiraiya didn't knew there were 3 other path of pain so He released the Genjutsu. But as soon as genjutsu was realeased Nagato was finally able to use Jutsu and killed Jiraiya.

but in case of Uchihaa brother vs Kabuto

Both Uchihaa brothers are also seeing a completely different world when they were in genjutsu so how did Itachi and Sasuke cast jutsus to each other by looking straight into each others eyes ?

so here are 2 flaws.
1.Both ucihaa brother saw each other's exact position despite being in a genjutsu and seeing another world
2.Both Uchihaa brothers could cast a Jutsu despite being in Genjutsu.

The sharingan can see true reality. Although itachi and sasuke could not break the genjutsu completely on their own. They were able to see through the illusionary world created by the illusion and perceive reality. But the other effects of the genjutsu i.e paralysis was still in effect till they casted genjutsu on each other therefore breaking the genjutsu completely.

I see where he's coming from, I don't think he's not arguing whether they could move or not.

I think he's arguing on how they were clearly seeing different worlds due to the genjustu but were still able to make eye contact.

It'd be like two different people on opposites sides making eye contact with each other in a one way mirror, there'd be not exact way to make sure you're actually making eye contact.

They clearly saw a world of skulls and them being restricted by snakes.

Maybe they saw through it with Sharingan or were on the same wavelengths or something.

But if it isn't the latter then how come sharingan users cant see through other genjustu. Not meaning their awareness of that they're in a justu, but actually seeing reality and not the genjustu world.

The sharingan discerns all ninjutsu taijutsu n genjutsu . Ot sees it and can counter it automatically did yoy forget that the sharingan can see thru all jutsu n copy it. Except for other bloodline limits

How was Uchihaa bros Casting a tsukuyomi and Genjutsu to each other a legit counter to dispel taguya Genjutsu if / when their sharingan can already see through genjutsu ?????

A genjutsu has two parts to it.

Taking control of one's chakra via senses allows to create illusions as holograms and restrain the movements if one of 5 senses is affected enough.

A sharingan can always see through any illusions/holograms but not defeat the control as it's dependent of victim's will/chakra power.

An illusion that affects sight wont affect sharingan as it prevents effect on the eye.

Visual genjutsu in general are external fake decoys it just tricks the eye rarely has control over victim, examples: bringer of darkness, trollkage clam, genjutsu of shee etc.

Sharingan automatically sees through illusion. It doesn't automatically break genjutsu, that takes skill. Otherwise, you would be able to automatically break tsukuyomi with a sharingan.
Sharingan basically let's you see through illusions(as long as you're aware there's one). It's then up to you to get yourself out.

They saw through the illusion. How is that even hard to understand? They were no longer seeing a false reality. They still needed to break the genjutsu; They only negated the visual side, not the physical side.

That's why they could look into each other's eyes. Because they could literally see each other.

Nothing contradictory there a sharingan enables to see both real and fake worlds just like physical, spiritual, chakra and X-ray visions at the same time or the one user desires.
