Purpose behind Gai's 8th gate awakening & multiple deaths.

Next chapter must be where Team Minato goes all out: Kakashi & Obito fighting side by side, and Gai catching up to them. Two possiblities: Gai will unleash the 8th gate amongst his peers and fight with them or Gai will unleash the 8th gate in response to his Kakashi & Obito dying.

Why they must die: Kakashi already died and saw his father and killed Rin; affecting Obito in a negative way, Obito has fulfilled his purpose and passed his chakra and will of fire to Naruto and wishes to see Rin again, Minato is already dead and he's a useless edo tensei with no arms- he will join his team in the afterlife. [EDIT- And team Minato has already been reunited excluding Rin, so there is peace and rest in their minds about the paths they've chosen and are ready to hand down their seat to the next generation and join Rin] Gai doesn't really have a reason to die except to push Lee out the nest and for Gai to join Asuma, Shikaku, etc. and most likely Kakashi and Obito after they die. Lastly they must die to give way for the present generation to GO ALL OUT and for them to grow up and forget about depending on their parents and teachers, but remember how awesome they were.

Kakashi has fulfilled his purpose in the story and if you remember Kakashi's mind was in turmoil after killing Rin, after knowing that Obito has changed he has probably begun to cherish the past Obito again and with his death AND Minato's I think he would most likely choose to sacrifice himself for the sake of everyone else' survival and so he can join his team in the afterlife. Obito shouldn't have to be the one to sacrifice himself anymore it should be Kakashi this time but Obito also knows that he doesn't deserve to live; maybe he will make up for this by reviving Sasuke (that's a bit too much eh?) but the whole dialogue about what Kakashi said it means to be a ninja and Obito's response about abandoning comrades would make for Kakashi's sacrifice a foreshadow.

For real, it would mean that Kishi is truly trying to appeal to babies and turn this into a children's book, making us think there's always a way out of death and excluding death from the manga.

Lol seriously but it's only been in the recent weeks, I haven't much to complain about Madara's rinne-tensei revival but after that has become a stab-in-the-eye to logic and nature.
