Without Izanami and the unlimited chakra and 0 MS strain and every other advantage Edo tensei provided Itachi, Kabuto vs alive Itachi probably would have ended in kabuto favour.

I recommended that you ignore his interpretation. He believes that an incomplete izanami still puts you inside a genjutsu stimulation.
