SM minato is more logical he did have toad contracts, eyeless susanoo makes no sense at all if you can use it without eyes why does the susanoo degrades the eyes then?

Madara's was more logical. Apparently used Kamui b4 attaining MS and its possible that there things we don't know about susanoo seeing how its not an ability that comes directly from the eyes. Seeing how in EMS the transplanted eyes retain your previous design, its safe to say that even when you lose your eyes, a portion of that power remains.

Madz probably couldn't do the higher versions though

they are both illogical but in madaras case i bet its gunna be something like oh you only need eyes to unlock it and from there on you can use it eyes or not

Madara using susanoo without eyes was strange- it similar to punching without a arm.- However we don't know that much about EMS techniques so I wouldnot call it a contradiction because we just don't know alot about how the sharingan works.- mabey since black zetsu has his other eye ( zetsu is a extension of madaras will ) he can use EMS techniques??

Minato on the other hand, we have seen fighting in dire situations, so him waiting till now to us sage mode is a major asspull ( unless he somehow aquired it when he merged chakra w/ naruto)- but if he had sage mode this whole time, then its a asspull.
