Kabuto placed 2 Sharingan under a sound genjutsu, so i don't think so

It required another sharingan user thou, what if the were on opposition ends of the cave how would the sharingan break it then?

The key word is "they" it required two sharingan users to cast genjustu on each other to cancel out one powerful one.

The situation would of been different if they were by themselves. The only way Itachi would of escape is using the crow but there's nothing stopping him from being caught in it again.

Sasuke chances would be incredibly low since his skill in genjustu isn't as vast as Itachi's

but it didn't and this jutsu can't even be preformed by a human, and it can also be interfered with if something else playing that would distort the melody and it takes a while for you to fall under it
