I still don't understand why Madara wanted to be alive again when he could have stayed Edo. Can someone explain why he did this please?

He could still be a jinchuuriki as edo I would think. But the feeling thing is a good point, maybe as an eco they literally can't feel anything at all. Like the sensations of touch, and smell possibly.

It was said somewhere that you can't be the Juubi's Jinchuuriki as an Edo. Which doesn't make much sense other than for plot purposes.

Obito is alive, he never died. Half of his body = senju dna/zetsu.

Yeah but they died when they had the jinchuuriki sealed of them(died of extraction)

Obito's paths could only use their bijuu power because they had the black rods which transfer chakra from the gedo statue to their respective hosts. So technically obito's jinchuuriki were not really jinchuuriki, just edos with the bijuu's chakra.

Kabuto was bad at Edo Tensei, So madara wasn't at his full power then. He overcompensated with the senju DNA so he was still as strong as Hashirama, who was at full power.

So, when he got revived, he got much stronger than he was when he was alive the first time.
