i would put naruto above one piece, simply because i enjoyed it more (well, only the part before shippuden and the beginning of shippudden tbh)(and the scenes with pain, kisame, sasori and deidara)
it depends on personal preference.!!
this.

Lawl these never ending, obdurate, audacious one piss vs narduturd threads are back in action and thirsty for more!

Alright, this part. Only.

Well I wouldn't consider all One piece villains as completely generic as you say, most of the Villians like akainu who we do not know, well his motives and whatnot, his malevolent and sadistic nature and his actions are quite abditive and leaves the audience from wanting more, since he hasn't appeared yet after the TS which has left us curious (only as a silhouette I believe >_>) Just like ceaser clown, Doflamingo etc. These Villians are not simplistic like who just come in AND HURR BURN IT DOWN *****es RAWR, they are rather complex and virtually share a deep and complex meaning behind their motives. Which I certainly do not find generic. Also, doffy is pretty badassery nonetheless.

And moreover characters like shanks, dragon and vega punk are very mysterious, leaving the viewers themselves pretty curious on their objectives and such. Now that does not seem generic.

Lol no, the fact that they are not in the manga much doesn't make them complex?

Their personalities are one dimensional im not saying thats a bad thing but for me its boring >.> Its just another villain who looks like an ass hole, acts like an ass hole and is not cool in the slightest,

Ace is another generic flame user >.> Basically fits the stereotype to a pin

Finished One Piece yet, or are you still basing your opinion off of the Alabasta arc. Every villain P3in said were introduced after that arc. If you haven't finished One Piece, your opinion is skewed and no one will really take you seriously or waste their breath trying to explain something which you have no clue on.

OT: I think it depends on the persons age group and their background of watching manga/anime. I see more people who are young and only watch Naruto fully support Naruto and even go as far as hate OP just because it is a rival to Naruto or just judge it by the first few episodes made back in the 1990's and say they hate it. Basically the definition of judging a book by its cover.

Then there are the people who have seen many anime and manga and about 90% of them will say they prefer One Piece over Naruto. Then there are those rare few that have seen both, seen other manga as well, and will still put Naruto over One Piece. These people I don't mind, but none of them say One Piece is bad. I think the main reason they say Naruto is better is the same reason people say DBZ is the greatest. That reason being nostalgic. They grew up with the series and invested so much time into it that it makes their opinion biased. They don't sit down and try to compare all aspects of what makes a manga or an anime great.

I'm going to keep this short because I can keep writing about this and make this a 5 page essay by the time I'm done.

LMAO

Do you one piece bro?

LOL One dimensional? Really? Then I think I'm the one who's not reading the correct one piece, I suppose. It's not about appearance. Even the little amount of screen time, like kizaru kicking the ass of the supernovas, he's an odd admiral, his personality differs from 99% of NV, and is not generic, and is a good character, overall. And no, he's not an *******, if you think he's a boring character and a generic one, Then maybe one piece isn't for you. same for aokiji. Doflamingo, ceaser clown, and other villains aren't one dimensional at all.

They all share a different and distinctive motive, which are occluded most of the time, You don't have to be in the manga much for the character to seem complex, and generic for that matter, the fact akainu already tore down what's most dear to luffy, left him traumatised, and left him with an unhealable scar, his reason of justice, blew up a ship of civillians with children on it just to be safe there weren't any schoolers on board. his brutality, and moreover the fact he fought for a position which was already assigned to a specific someone.

Which was all down at MF already makes him a pretty cool character (some consider him a douche for that), and always Remains calm, you need to read more if you haven't that is, I can't even explain it properly when I'm typing cause I just suck at that, same for the powers in one piece and the yonkou, shanks, haki, luffy's father (a very hyped character) and most of the other yonkou's big mam, Blackbeard etc. And then we have rob lucci, And there's Doflamingo.... So yeah.. Which KEEPS the audience curious, a villain doesn't necessarily have to appear after every 10 chapters to appear complex. LOL

Same for gantz, hikawa never appeared that often. Yet he's one of the most greatest, cool and complex characters from gantz. LOL

Ace is a logia type fire fruit. There's more then just him sprewing fire all over the damn place. Same with other logia types.

Now, honestly, I harangued over thei more then I should've have, I'm not trying to shove my opinions down anyone's throat, I'm well aware it all boils down to personal preference. Now I think bleach > naruto

Yup.

The mangas are on two different levels, one piece is a far better manga by some distance in my opinion.
