itachi meant to surpassed Madara / Minato surpass hashirama?

there are people in the manga, where the main character does what others had a chance to, but couldn't, for whatever reasons.

i think itachi was meant to surpass madara like how minato was meant to surpass hashirama. at least by chance, i think.

character whose potential was as great as the main, but chose not to, and perhaps wasn't lucky enough to...that's how i see minato and itachi, against sasuke and naruto.

which is why i also think kishi describes the two role models almost flawless in that they weren't beaten by any other but themselves.

Itachi >> Minato. Minato was always overhyped, he wasn't even stronger than Hiruzen. Notice Hiruzen said "I couldn't save him". Hashirama blows Minato out of the water (who broke Edo Tensei again?) We saw BZ is faster than Minato, and Minato just got absolutely wrecked by Madara last chapter.

Anyone including Minato on a top 10 list is just delusional at this point heh

Minato is a close range, anyone who is close range put's themselves at a higher risk of getting an asswhopping. Wether it be by a lucky hit or anything. In the last chapter we saw not one, not 2 BUT 3 characters who might not be your top 10 but on their day can whoop ass get it handed to them on a plate with whipped cream. Just your all flaming minato because he was at the front. I'm not a particular fanboy of anyone. I just enjoy the storylines and anyone can beat anyone on the day just the skill sets they have may help or hinder them. As for Itachi. The guy was awesome. He was pivotal to the storyline and wasn't meant to surpass anyone but has a real moral and ideals even if he went about it wrong at times.
