If its by fodder count, ill go with Madara, or Hashirama, since they had the most battles out of any existing ninja.

What? It makes more sense to dispatch of them, considering they were in a war and the 10k shinobi were the enemy. Why only defend if it meant his team mates are only going to fight them again but later on?
