The philosophy of the Sage essentially has created a failed world, where people really have failed to understand each other. I mean what is Naruto or Kakashi's answer to that?

It's more like the people failed to follow the sage and used the chakra as a weapon. Don't blame one man for the ignorance of many.

I see your point. But infinite tsukuyomi has its flaws as well. remember how rin looked like in obito's imagination of IT? She looked so fake. While an illusionary world where you get what you want might be tempting, once you experience it you will begin to feel that a fake reality can never replace the real one. This is what obito realised. Especially when the fake reality is completely dependant on once imaginations expectations of the way the world should be. Believe it or not humans have a very limited imagination.

Besides had the people done what the sage wanted, the NV wouldn't have been in this mess.

Infinite Tsukuyomi isn't a valid answer either. Human nature would prevent it from being a "perfect" dream for everyone since everyone has different ideas of perfection. Do I need to bring up that Agent Smith quote again? It's inevitable that some humans will want power over others etc...

Except every action Madara takes goes against the words he preaches.

Tobirama has come up with the best answer thus far.

the Sage never gave up on humanity and wanted to believe that they can do good, while Madara gave up on humanity and wants to force his own so called solution.

i'd take the Sage's philosophy over Madara's any day U_U

what best answer.??

Tobirama said that Madara's view is right, in a sense, but Madara is a tyrant, thus he should not be the one in control.

Any good can be turned to a bad. How is Madara's way any different?

Madara is giving the people what they want -- a world where they don't have to fight anymore. A world of dreams and eternal peace, where their minds create their own realities. That's probably closer to peace than whatever BS Naruto will come up with.

Naruto is completely unqualified to be Hokage -- he's just some arrogant, pretentious little kid in an orange jumpsuit prattling on about peace. In the real world, nobody would let a kid like that (or any kid) lead a nation. Of course, this is manga... So...

Devil's advocate in me says that the Sage can be blamed. He had the power of a God and failed to right the world. By giving mankind chakra and treating one son unfairly, he caused and ignited and supplied the main source of conflict in the Narutoverse -- chakra. Of course, it was mankind stealing that power to begin with.

From a Buddhist perspective, Madara is correct.

Yeah but doesn't it basically allow Madara to control everyone? I mean, if it just caused each person to live in their own perfect world it would be one thing, but doesn't it specifically mean that Madara will be the one controlling the whole thing?

Also, normal people can cope with cruel reality just fine on their own :| And if you go crazy you create your dream world in your head to escape - that's what a human brain can do without any genjutsu stuff.

So Madara is basically pushing his inability to just get over things on others instead of, I dunno, writing a book or something.
