It seemed to me like Kakashi was trying to use his slow-ass kamui and then Madara kicked Minato's rasengan arm at Kakashi, possibly stopping the kamui.

Or maybe Kakashi can control his kamui so that he was aiming for black zetsu.

Obito's been through hell and back and he's about to die, I don't see how he can manage a kamui in his condition.

In first pages we see Obito with normal sharingan, then when Kakashi used kamui, we saw Obito with mangekyou which means he cancelled Kakashi's kamui.

I thought them having the same eyes means when one activates MS the other will do the same. As for the Kamui Kakashi wanted to warp Obito because he thought Black Zetsu was still controlling him. And the rasengan that hit Kakashi disrupted his Kamui attempt not Obito. (From my understanding)

While I did believe this at first, we can assume it wasn't true based on Obito's and Kakashi's "meetings."

Had this been true, we would have seen Kakashi's eyes change every time Obito materialized himself into the dimension.

Safe to assume at this point that the only connection the two have with their eyes is the dimension, nothing else.

Yup, and he also used it to put his hand inside Madara.

Kakashi's Kamui was interrupted when Kakashi ate his Sensei's rasengan. (thus, explaining why he would get hit so easily; he was trying to execute a jutsu)

Obito did nothing, only walked towards Madara.

I don't believe this because Kakashi seems to understand Obito more than anyone and the chat they had upon Obito's defeat really said it all. Also Kakashi isn't dumb enough to use Kamui on him for like the fourth time. SH*T DOESN'T WORK AND EVEN KAKASHI KNOWS IT.

I personally think it was to kamui the zetsu off of him which enabled Obito to gain control of the hand which stole the Sage's staff.
