minato is a sage?

Minato having sage mode is the biggest and ill planned a** pull thus far. The worst part is it was a pointless one. All it did was give minato another ability in an attempt to make him seem more powerful. Not to say he is not powerful but he has been getting trolled this whole time. The sad part is maybe it would have worked if he did not get tossed around no problem. However I really have two main reasons why this makes no sense
1. While naruto was getting trained by granpa toad he never made any mention of minato having sagemode. Granted naruto did not know minato was his dad but he does know who the forth hokage is and knows how strong he was said to be. Saying the fourth hokage learned the jutsu wpould have only inspired him to learn it more.
2. Naruto was said to be the only person to master this jutsu. Minato looked like he mastered it though. He had no toad like features and decided to use it on a whim. I know minato is a genius and everything but granpa toad would have no reason to not know about minato's mastering of the jutsu and at the very least he could have mentioned that he knew it.

Just because he didn't fully master it on the mountain doesn't mean he didn't eventually master it and didn't need to use it due to ftg n his reflexs already top tier so the old sage may not have known

Hashirama isn't a toad sage..... There is literally no reason for him to mention Hashirama.. But everything else you said i agree is point on.

I said the same on another forum, or he mightve just sucked up some energy from naruto while he was transformed, due to them both having kyuubi half they mightve had a stronger connection

When naruto was melding his chakra with minato, he was also melding his sagemode chakra too.

He literally mastered it right off the spot.

Well as we all know, Edo's are weaker than when they are a live and their opponent was Juubito who had the power of many Bijuu, one Bijuu alone have the power to change the landscape. As for the SM, Gamabuta and Pa toad foreshadowed Minato possibly having it during Pein arc. Pa toad wouldn't have known Minato even to compare him if he never met him

You do know Pa toad was mentioning only Jiraiya because Jiraiya recently died and Naruto didn't know he was Minato's son yet so who do you think he's going to be more motivated by? His dead teacher who he saw as a grandfather figure (was really his godfather) and who was his teacher for a longer period than Kakashi was and taught Naruto how to be a ninja (to grow up) or Minato who Naruto only know as a hero Hokage? Naruto actually have a bond with Jiraiya and we know how he feels about his bonds. In that Arc Naruto growing up had to do with him losing Jiraiya as Shikamaru's growth came from losing Asuma (when he fough Hidan and Kakuza with Kakashi and team 10).

Naruto never knew him pre-SM training and Minato was Jiraiya student since he was a Genin. Jiraiya recently died at the time so of course he's going to motivate Naruto by using Jiraiya, Naruto had no bonds to Minato nor would that encourage him while he was grieving for losing Jiraiya. Just like how Shikamaru was thinking of only Asuma while preparing to fight and while fighting Kakuza and Hidan with team 10 + Kakashi, he wasn't thinking about his Dad but of his teacher who he lost. Naruto was going through the same thing, it was also Shikamaru who talked to Naruto about it as well

How would Pa told know Minato to compare him? He had to have known him. Naruto was Jiraiya's student for about 3 years and never met Pa toad until he started to train to learn SM, Minato was Jiraiya's student since Genin level and was his favorite student and like a son.
