Well it took 13 years and 597 chapters to Finnish the first half of One Piece and for the second half we have been on 1 pervious Island Fishermen Island and two New World island in 4 years it has shown the part 2 of One Piece.

There's no way it should be going so slow. There's a lot of things that Oda could be doing with this manga. This arc isn't that exciting either. What I'd like to see is Luffy taking on Shanks and his crew (Luffy will probably get beaten though). I'm also betting on Luffy meeting his father more towards the end of the series.

That may take another 10 years or longer depending One Piece second half will be longer than the first which is most likely.

I like One Piece and just read through all the manga chapters a couple of months ago, but really it seems like Naruto and One Piece are drawing it out for some reason. And the worst part is that One Piece isn't nearly finished yet.

Try not to compare it so much to Naruto's length. The length is reasonable seeing how big Luffy's goal and the rest of SH's goal is.

I don't see why the fu.ck is everyone else making such a big deal out of it.!!

I agree but people nowadays drop something for the stupidest reasons or reasons that aren't justified properly.

I really do believe Oda spoiled his fans with the Sabody, Impel Down and Marineford arcs. Fans nowadays are so impatient.

well no,that is not true
one piece story has been designed for such longetivity and so it functions well for the most part.
Its not like Naruto whose story is destined to last long as it has,if it went on like one piece it would surely lose its flair.
Ofcourse that is always open to happen to one piece but only time will tell

some people just don't have the attention span for slow pacing of a proper quality story

take into account that only 17-19 pages come out every week, let's say it takes 4 years to write a quality novel

with proper slower pacing that emphasizes on the entire story rather than on each chapter by itself over a course of 4 years you get a a several hundred pages of good quality storytelling that is written as one single story

with fast pacing that focuses on 1 chapter at a time over a course of 4 years you get a massive clusterf??? with many inconsistancie and contradictions and an overall lower quality story

if you can be patient you can enjoy quality stuff.

slow pacing is like a 5 course quality gourmet meal prepared by an amazing chef, full of incredible taste and everything compliments everything else, but it takes patience to enjoy it

with fast pacing you get a mess of everything that is though of as tasty but is really just some heavy cheeseburger, pizza and fries with everything that ''tastes good'' thrown randomly into the cluster and fried up, that are quite good but are cheap and generic, it doesn't take patience but can't be appreciated as much by someone who is patient and has tasted the gourmet delicacies, in comparison it just feels too cheap

This chapter was so horrible that i didn't even want to finish it OMG
i'm not just dropping it for this chapter but i have a lot of reasons to why i'm dropping One piece.

the time-skip started of great whit everyone learning new skills and meeting each other again after 2 years
but the new-world has been a huge disappointment and it's not because Oda is a bad writer in fact i consider him almost
one the same level as Togashi but the thing that makes his talent a waste is slow pace in one piece
and we all know that he can easily avoid it,at this point i don't even know if he does it for the story or the money.



The punk hazard arc was mediocre at best,because the only thing that happend there is the straw-hats forming
an alliance with Trafalgar Law and that was in the new-world honestly i'm not gonna lie i thought fishman island arc
was a lot better and that was before the new-world!

Oda has been hyping this new world but it's not good i expected a lot better from him
the dressrosa arc is getting build up to get this amezing but my problem is Oda takes 2 year to build up something good but in the end don't show the epic things that he build up he just skip them like fujitora vs Law vs Flamingo
Sabo,Big mom that's like killing a hard boner how long is he going to keep building things up just get to the point.....

I get what your saying but then at the same time I don't. The pacing could be faster I agree but at least Oda takes the time to develop his characters. And not just 1 or 2 of them but the entire crew along with many others outside of it. With so many crew mates comes a lot of moving parts. It takes a lot of time to set up for anything because there are so many characters to set up. But I will take that over forgetting a character any day. And from the past Oda usually delivers on the payoff for long buildups and this arc is looking to be one of the best arc besides Marineford.

Sorry dude, it's his opinion if something is better or not. For me Naruto > One Piece. Say something. One Piece isn't bad at all, I just favor Naruto more.

I understand and I respect your opinion at least but it almost seems that he's using the statement, "Naruto/Bleach>OP" as a reasoning to drop one piece. It has no relevance to dropping a series...
