How did Kakashi survive a SM Rasengan?

With all the plot holes in this chapter, I'm surprised no one has said anything about this. Last I checked a regular Rasengan was strong enough to rip off a Zetsu arm and paralyze Kabuto who was using food pills to stay alive. A SM Rasengan should have killed Kakashi, WTF is going on here?!
