Makes me think Robin and Usopp will trade battle partners. While long range, her attacks are close range in affect, and, against a Logia, that's not good, whereas Sugar's attacks are based on hitting someone with her palm, so purely close ranged. Usopp would be able to face Trebol's ranged attacks, to overpower him. Though, rather than individual fights, I'd love to see them partner up

I'm guessing Usopp will beat Sugar by shooting the tatababasco grape into her mouth.

I'm not sure which of them will defeat Trebol, or if they even can win against him. The sample we got of his fighting abilities this chapter makes him seem pretty damn strong. He's fast, accurate, skilled with his DF and has plenty of destructive power. The biggest weakness he's shown so far is that he doesn't seem very smart. It might end up with Usopp taking out Sugar and then everyone ganging up on Trebol.

Yes but the problem here is, her soldiers are not as strong.
these toys are weak.
Bet luffy can solo them all with king's haki, maybe sugar also.

Also her DF does not improve her body capabilities, like other fruits do. [assumption. as far as we know]
So, she is not immune to gun shots or pretty much anything.

If ace were to fight her, she wont be even able to touch him as he is fire, [assuming no haki]
Same logic applies to any logia user .
Mid-Long range fighters and speedy fighter also hold a direct advantage.

Meh meh, I wasn't so much in to it this week. I don't really get why some people are surprised about Trebol and Sugar's strength. The looks of a character and their strength never had a direct connection with each other, so regardless of how they look, the fact that they work for Doflamingo it's expected for them to be powerful. I also never expected that the plan would go that easy. Considering the importance o KOing Sugar for their plan, I would have been surprised if there wouldn't have been some problems occurring.

As I was already expecting it, reading a chapter that was mainly about Sugar and Trebol using their powers, it didn't excite me as much as usual. Quite brutal though that the fairies lose their allies right in front of them, forget instantly that they existed and then attack them as they consider them enemies. Though that's a bit of a loophole as they knew about her ability and how it worked. Shouldn't they have considered the possibility that right in front of them they could lose an ally and forget them on that moment?

Same thing with Mr. Soldier, for some reason he isn't subjugated to Sugar, he still has his own will and I've found this 'contract' stuff she keeps talking about weird from the start. Why calling it a contract? That implies a mutual agreement that can be voided if what is stated in the contract is not followed.

The problem is that way any kind of DF can become strong if just let your imagination run wild. A while ago someone was saying something similar about Barto's fruit. He considered an extreme OP ability just because he assumed it could even block Haki.

Every DF can be severely hyped if you start thinking about what it could potentially do, but if it is not actually done in the manga, well then I find it a bit redundant to talk about 'what if'.

Yes she could transform even something like fire into toy, however she might also not being able to do that at all. Oda continuously gives DF weird quirks and limits. For instance Shiki could only make dead objects float, not living ones. So it's not a far-fetched assumption Sugar's ability is the opposite as in that it can only transform living people into toys or that, even if she can transform dead objects, they can't move because they don't have a consciousness.

It's also not unusual for DF users to have certain limitations on what they can do with which limb. It's very well possible that she can only use the ability with her hands. So what happens if those are cut off? If it requires hand contact, then the ability suddenly becomes a bit less threatening than just needing any contact.

As Mr. Soldier doesn't seem to be under her control, it seems not to be a full-proof ability and that if they KO her, her ability stops working, makes it also appear less threatening (though it has actually yet to be proven if that would be the case).

Just like that you can hype an ability by imagining what it could do, you can severely limit by imagining what it limits would be. To me it just seems an ability that's very convenient in very specific cases, but overall has too much flaws. The fact that Doflamingo has one of his highest executives guard her 24/7 implies that just her alone would be too much of a risk. With other words the ability only works at its best when in conjunction with other people.

If Akainu touches you, who is magma, you're screwed too, and that the control doesn't seem to be full-proof, all things considered I don't find this DF on itself enough to consider it one of the strongest DF.

I think many assumed their strength based on the fact that Usopp and Robin were going to their location, at least that's what I did ... I though (and still do) that Trebol is weaker than Pica and Diamante, but I was not surprised by trebol throwing a ship because I expect Pica and Diamante to be stronger than that (and Trebol too for that matter)

also the contract naming, in civil law the term contracts (at it's broadest) doesn't only mean a bilateral agreement but also includes one sided contracts and many other legal institutes (my sis is a law student)

Yes of course, but unless Sugar just thinks it's fancy to call them 'contracts', it's quite redundant to use that term when they can't protest either way and are forced to do slave labour. They are the highest power and no one remembers the toys, so it's not like they need a contract. Even if it's a complete one-sided contract, the fact that it was needed to form a contract, means the involvement of an other party was needed to a certain degree.

The fact that Mr. Soldier is not under the control can only mean two things:

1) He was never placed under a contract, meaning there is a difference between 'making a contract' and 'turning into a toy'.

2) He was able to break the contract, meaning the contract was bound by certain restrictions, which are now not met anymore and thus the contract is voided. For instance Mr. Soldier might have cut off his own leg because it's there where Sugar touched him, thus breaking the contract.

That the regular toys who just stroll the street can 'harass' people that they knew from before they were toys and consequently are considered 'defect' and thrown away, makes it seem that they are not under any contract, but are still toys.

Theory just hit me from watching the latest Anime episode but I think that Kyros guy is Sol. Rebecca said no one could remember him so that fits with that he was turned into a toy and I just don't think Sol could be anyone else.

I'm sure people already realized this months ago but to be honest I forgot about the Kyros mystery thing with everything else going on.
