Obito is dead next chapter. My guess is he will attempt to take the staff, Madara will look up in a 'Yeah I don't think so.' kinda way and Obito will be destroyed. I'm guessing this chapter is designed to redeem Obito by showing his return to the 'good side' and will then be killed accordingly.

At the very most he will chuck some of Kuramas chakra back to naruto

I agree......I feel this was to show Obito finding himself. I believe it's similar to Gin when he had gotten the jump on Aizen with his sneak attack. I feel Madara will crush him next chapter. It's to build suspense imo....to think that Madara is defeated.....

Both could be the same. If Naruto recovers and manages to gain a power strong enough to challenge Madara then that in itself is doing something to sabotage Madara's plan.

Kishi is setting up a fight, and I seriously doubt its just going to be Obito getting killed.

Well I'd hope so. I saw it as Obito grabbing the staff and then the it materialising in the same form as it did when Obito was wielding it as Juubito.

I'm not saying that I'm right, I'm just giving my personal opinion.

Thank to black Zetsu he has the half of Kurama. He will recover quickly and survive. And transfer Kurama to Naruto.
