It doesn't say in his prime he was the strongest someone added that

The "Text Type" looks real. but lets say that "someone added it"

These pictures clearly state that he was the strongest "among the five territories" despite him being old he was strongest Hokage at that time. He did master 10k Jutsu's "know everything in Konoha" not to mention the "five elements"

All these scans give you a picture of how he was in his prime.
