I don't take people's opinions seriously on here. Dbz was an inspiration to many people. They don't see huge complex plot lines, so they assume its overly simplistic but anyone who isn't in grade school could see the deeper character development.

In my opinion, it is the best anime of all time. Maybe not best manga, but the anime was stellar. Especially the initial english dub (ocean group up until the ginyu saga, funimation after).

Not sure if troll or not, but if you really don't know about DBZ then you must be youngin'. DBZ has massive nostalgic feels for pretty much anyone that is currently between the ages of 20-40 that watched Kids WB or Toonami as child/teen/adolescent/adult. The original Dragon Ball ran in the mid 80's so Goku has been around for generations. DBZ was only intended to be an over the top comical successor to Dragon Ball, but it ended up having an unexpected reception all over the world.

What do you mean? Watching the same sequence of events over and over every single arc is awesome. Plus having to watch someone yell for 4 episodes just to power up or shoot an energy ball is bliss.

Nar I'm thinking oh great goku leveled up, I was getting worried because he was starting to struggle. Can't wait till the villian levels up makes goku struggle forcing goku to eventually levelling up again and beating the opponent. Grab the dragon balls revive everyone that died that arc then skip off into the sunset.

Just showing how you have to revive everyone in every arc makes the fight look that epic and serious.

probably because your watching the watered down kai version(or maybe your not ha)..you need to go back in the archives and watch the REAL Daragonball Z. it goes hard and it was many peoples first anime. at the time during the original run nobody had seen anything like it before which made it even cooler

I love it because of the fights and the pure evil villans. Some villans became good but most were killed. They don't have millions off flashbacks and fillers. The few fillers there are are good. It was a simple show to watch. Evil character kills people then gets killed himself. It's straight forward action at it's finest. Plus it came out over 20 years ago and is still extremely popular. I love dbz and always will.

im sick of the dbz story dragon ball is when it was truly a great series there was an actual plot to the show which was to find the dragon balls well goku became a martial artist also characters like tien and roshi where top tier in dbz they are forgot about as they are human and anything but a super saiyan can't beat any villain

It's how he is, character wise, personality wise and etc. that's how luffy most likely is and yet the one piece series is virtually one of the best in the HST. It allows the protagonist to defer and are aberrant amongst the other shounen protagonists, they have a different feel which most shounen characters don't. I grew up with dbz, and I have to say its one of the best shows I've ever watched, It was a widespread at that time and everyone in school used to predict what will happen in the new episode lol. Was like 10 then lmao.
