Biggie - Easily one of the greatest lyricists and overall greatest rappers of all time. No, he is the best rapper of all time, in my opinion.
Pac - Overall one of the greatest rappers to live; a true poet in rap/hip-hop.
Nas - Easily one of the greatest lyricists with Biggie.
Rakim - The original father of rap and lyricism. He is the motivation behind most lyrically acclaimed rappers out.
MC Ren - Credit given where credit is due. Most people don't know who he is or even that he was in NWA. He was dope as shit and remains one of my favorites.
Eminem - The third most lyrically acclaimed rappers to live in my opinion. He still holds the ability to slay any rapper on the mic with a single verse(referring to Rap God). Matter of fact all three of those verses slayed any rappers out now, besides Kendrick and a few more rappers.
Kendrick Lamar - The greatest rapper out right now. Even though he's up and coming, he's still one of the most lyrically acclaimed of his era and labeled the Leader of the New School and the King of Rap, second to Eminem, the God of Rap(Of their era).
J. Cole - One of the most lyrically acclaimed rappers of this era of rap. He's easily top 5 rappers out right now. He has the ability to reach out to any demographic and portray his stories in his rap.
Bone Thugs - What's a favorite rappers list without Bone Thugs? What's not to like... They're pretty self explanatory.
JayZ - Pretty whack lately but in his earlier years he was one of the best. The most successful rap artist to live and he deserves it for slaying Nas on the mic... However, not his latest bullshit attempt at rhyming.
Ice-Cube - was dope
Snoop Dog - was dope
Lil Wayne - In his prime easily one of the greatest(His punchlines and sheer ability to rap were amazing. I also mean 90's weezy too)

Obviously more but I don't feel like continuing.

Don't like rap, but RZA is good. Anyone from Wu-Tang I listen to, except U-God. Shit he sucks.

top lel, everyone here got trash lists. Clearly nobody on NB listens to hip-hop.

Mine in no order (personal faves):
Aesop Rock
Eyedea (R.Eye.P to this lyrical genius)
MF Doom
Pharaoahe Monch
Rakim
Big Daddy Kane/Kool G Rap/Big L (depends on my mood)
Nas/Elzhi (Elzhi has better rhyme schemes; Nas is the better lyricist)
Guru
Cage
J Dilla (R.I.P, you legend)
