I just remembered that there was poetic section of NB and I have a lot on my mind right now, so you might hear from me time to time. Here is my first attempt at this thing called "poetry" lol.
I know this isn't suppose to be about what other people think, but even when I'm doing something like this, I'd like to to know how to do it better so please give positive and constructive feedback.
Untitled
Born an raised in a town of rage
gunshots ringing an echo of peoples names.
Provocative scenery like red balloons
People killing over a new pair of shoes.
All this got my brother torn up
thought all of this would help turn his luck.
Sold some dope at the corner of Main
Now he works at UPS thinking, "Bro, you fked up".
Dirty little buds of joy caused my mother pain
All she thought was that they'd take the stress away.
Little did she know was that God called her name
May 27, 2009 was the date.
Old man papa did shed a tear
instead he picked up women that were near
consoled himself through falsified loved
trying to find a new love
probably forgot his true love.
"Forget the rest" she told him "your with me now"
"Ditch your kids" she told him "New ones are in need now"
Now here I am in a house of ghosts.
Looking for an outlet to release the bolt.
"One day it'll be okay" she told me.
"But what if it doesn't" I'd replied.
