We don't really know if Karin recognized that person or not. She just said "This chakra..!" and that she has a bad feeling. It could very well mean she realized it's Kabuto.

Would it be a stretch to say it has some sort of connection to the jutsu Hashirama taught Sasuke? Seems likely, to me.

My bets are on it being Rikudo.

Then again, there's the ever present possibility of it being Nagato. He was sealed by Totsuka, but as I recall he was sealed before Kabuto released Edo Tensei so would he not be released from Totsuka? Orochimaru cannot be used as a comparison because he was never fully sealed to begin with. With the Rinnegan I think its very possible.

Edo Nagato also wore a cloak, and was barefoot at the time.

Well there were a few of those cloaks in the hideout, so who knows .

The Mystery Guy is the original SO6P. He uses revival techniques to revive himself if someone tries to reincarnate the 10-tails. Just the same as what minato placed on naruto that activated when naruto opens the 9-tail's prison, but this one is in physical reincarnation instead of spirit.
