[Question] Which is the release schedule?

I just started reading and watching Highschool DxD . And I came for the Ermm Story, and I actually stayed for the story. I liked it a lot, and the best part is that the story actually seems just in the beggining.
Does anyone know when the new chapter are released?
Does it have a regular release schedule or is it released when the writters feel like it?
And why is the anime going further than the manga? I would love if someone would answer me those questions.=D

The source material isn't the manga, it's from the LNs.

There are 16 volumes now and season 2 of the anime covers up to volume 4 if I remember right. Don't know much about the manga.
