Are people not considering a chakra cloak of some kind?

I'd expect someone to have already mentioned this, but doesn't the outline of the mystery man in question resemble that of a chakra cloak? Whenever Naruto uses his chakra cloak, it looks quite similar to this outline:

Now I'm not saying with certainty how someone else may have gotten a chakra cloak, but think about this for a second. If someone had some sort of foreign chakra emanating around them, wouldn't it change how people sense them? I'm one of the people that think the guy near Sasuke could still be Kabuto, simply because the circumstances surrounding Kabuto, if in fact he is free from Izanami, are yet unknown.

Kabuto may have spliced more foreign DNA into himself. Kabuto also could have been experimenting with yet un-discussed research. Perhaps he's even obtained a chakra cloak of some kind. The point I'm making here is that it is far too early to rule out Kabuto as a candidate because we know nothing about the current state he is in post-Izanami.

And the fact that the person in question seems to have a chakra cloak around them.....well it begs the question if Kabuto was able to incorporate that into his experiments somehow. It could also be a cloak similar to the aura the elder son emanated, but I consider someone like that entering the story at this point to be laughable to say the least, but Kabuto creating some variation of it may be possible.

Do you still think that Kabuto will be interested in the research after he comes out of Izanami though?

Hmm that's a good point. That pretty much destroys the chakra cloak idea, considering those images were shown at the same time as Karin's assessment, but it could still be Kabuto with an altered chakra signature, due to additional research.

I think he would have likely attempted to gain a new advantage. If he has no more edo's and is in a position where no one expected him to come back, it would have been an opportune time to prepare a new trump card.

This could also be the case, and provides more evidence that it could in fact be Kabuto.

No normal humans have chakra "cloaks" as in it looks like wispy fire coming off their forms. That's just normal chakra. Look at some instances where we get to see what a sharingan sees, you will see all humans seem to have the same "fiery" look.

Only reason Naruto's is visible is because the chakra he is using is Kyuubi chakra so its visible. When Naruto uses KCM its not a "chakra cloak" its just him utilizing Kyuubi chakra in its purified form, hence his own chakra becomes mixed with it giving it that fiery look. Yet its not channeled into a true "chakra cloak" its just flowing around his body like his own normal chakra.

So no I would have to disagree with you about it being a chakra cloak, not to mention the streams seem to being going into him rather than out from his body. This indicates some manner of Sage mode. Or at least some form of natural energy.

It's not about her sensing abilities. It's that only people trained in senjutsu can sense natural energy. Just like Naruto couldn't sense the Juubi until it went into sage mode.

Just because Sasuke had Juugo's senjutsu in his body, doesn't mean that his normal chakra was no longer present. I seriously doubt Karin is an exception to this rule. I'm not saying the person she sees doesn't have senjutsu, but she certainly wouldn't be able to tell.

That still doesn't lead me to the conclusion that she can see hermit chakra, only that she can see the change in normal chakra due to the effects of natural energy. Though I agree with most of your points, I just come to a different idea with the same info.

tobirama was able to sense that naruto was in sage mode and that an attack done by a toad had sunjutsu in it. so its pretty clear that a good enough sensor can sense natural energy. i see no reason karin wouldnt be able to. i also see no reason she has to be an exception to a rule that doesnt exist.
