Name something you miss about the manga

A character, a drawing thing, plot device, an aspect to the story? There are many things in the manga that used to be that don't seem relevant anymore or seem like a thing of the past. Being that the manga has grown and evolved from the past, it's only natural that some aspects and concepts get lost on the way.

I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about. One thing we saw Kishi do in the past is showing a character overlap with the panels of the manga. Like

. I thought it was pretty cool, especially since it's something I see in OP but Kishi doesn't seem to do that anymore either. He also doesn't do art covers for chapters nearly as much as he used to like he did here [

] I always liked when he used one character here as I felt like the art was phenomenal every time he did it ^_^

I also miss that the show used to have missions that required do tasks for money, but that's pretty irrelevant to where we are now. One thing I also really enjoyed was Obito and his masked days. The "mystery" of the masked man and why he wore his mask to achieve his means was an enthralling one, one that kept the readers curious all the time. Though I guess with Spiral Zetsu and the mystery man with Sasuke, it seems like we're recreating that suspense but it's not the same Lol

So what are some things you guys miss about the manga as opposed to where we are now? It can be anything so just speak ya mind people

I miss part 1 and very very early part 2 style of fighting. Mostly tactic based and taijutsu with just a few cool jutsu which were not spammed and people actually had chakra limitations they didn't only apply for plot convenience.

Nah, I know exactly what you mean. The action now is still good but there was nothing better than some good old-fashioned, close-quarter combat.

Oh that's a big one for me. They seemed to play such a big role before but they hardly play one now IMO. I felt like many of the supporting characters had so much potential to make the manga better than it is now just by playing a more important role.

Yeeeeeeessssss. I completely agree, early part 2 fighting style was the best fighting of the series IMO. Nothing too bizarre but plenty of CQC and tactics. No way you can't love that.

I miss Sound 4 and character development.

Someone said it was Tayuya's birthday today :yeah: I liked the sound 4 but I liked Kimimaro better, I wish he had more time in his Edo form.

Akatsuki was a badass group at first. I miss all the members of the Akatsuki, felt like we didn't get enough of them even though they were such a big part of the story at first.

I do like Shino though, even though he's supposed to be quiet and kinda creepy, I always feel like the panel time he gets is well-deserved and I feel like he's an amusing character :yeah:

The power scaling in part 1 seemed just perfect, and hand signs were the shit! I used to memorize them and pretend to perform the jutsus. There art pretty much no hand signs now :|
