You're assuming that humans thousand of years ago were simpletons, yet they have built things that science today cannot explain.

The Bible wasn't written by one person. Do you even know what you're saying? I don't think you know Christianity well enough to bash it.

The theory you're talking about (Big Bang, I'm guessing) was proposed by naturalists, who, prior to even developing their theory, already ruled out the supernatural. As such, they're only allowing themselves to produce natural results and causes. Such bias. Much wow.

Of course, if you believe what you believe, you believe what you believe. I doubt I can change your mind..

Believe it or not, but people have succeded in cchanging my opinion. But thats something that only works if the argument is better than mine. In this case it certainly is not as a logical calculated theory is faar superior to a book written by human beings...
about the book stuff youre right, im not too familiar with cristianity. I was more referring to the islam(as i had a disscussion few days ago with another member of the base about that matter) but that doesnt change anything i said about the religions themselves..

when a person who grew up in a 3rd world country, who has seen terrible things and hell on earth i can fully understand them beliving in a god, as something like that gives them hopes and power to move on. Religions DID have their purposes and in some way did help us progress. But on the other hand we would have been far more advanced if stuff like cristianity and the medieval ages didnt happen, which did stop our advance in quite a bit.
but if a person like most people with acxess to the internet if i may say so...after learning all theories and logical explainations and archeollgic findings STILL claims to his religion and cant acxept the fact it is in my opinion either just plain ignorance, laziness to unserstand something maybe difficult or just stupidness....seriously how can some1 believe in adam and eve...?

Ppl who take the bible 100% literal are a pet peeve of mine. I can understand wanting to live by morals set by it (even tho most ppl overlook parts of the bible they don't seem fitting  ) but no one should truly believe all of that actually happened. So I understand you calling them ignorant for that reason

But choosing to believe in that over concrete science is just so deeply ingrained in some cultures, there's no stopping it

For the record, I'm Christian but firmly believe in evolution U_U I see no reason why you can't believe in god and also evolution

well I don't have problem with religion but I will say this though...

those people who think the religion is absolute and can't be wrong, and there is no way around it, they are just fools.!!

they are only fooling themselves, and how can they not get something this simple and plain.!!

Can something like that really be called cristian? For me it sounds more like you believe in science rather then cristianity, but that religious part is so deeply wihtin your being(like your family/location you live/the way you grew up) that it wont let go...^^

I feel we as humans long for relief of an arduous life....not giving thought to the possibility that existence in its entirety may be what truly cannot be escaped. :(

OT: Idk..... I feel the universe and the wonders of it are far too complex to try and comprehend. The afterlife may be filled with an unlimited amount of beautiful things that even the worlds greatest thrill seeker could not tire of. If it is any consolation.....I feel you should revel in thoughts like that. Those that see it as more of an interesting journey of new places, things, and ppl unending. ^_^

I'm spiritual, not religious. I say Christian outta habit just so ppl know I believe in god. However, I don't follow any one religion. Going to church and doing this and that is like conforming to a man made creation.

What do you mean by believing in God and evolution? Do you mean that God started life and has let evolution take charge? Or what? I'm curious.

Just they don't make sense to you doesn't mean they don't make sense to the next person

You think Bashing me/Christianity will change the fact that you're an Ignorant kid??

Whether something makes sense or not is NOT a matter of opinion...if it doesnt make sense to some1 jts either, they dont know it, or they cant understand it, or simply they know it amd cant accept it. Like 2+2=4 its not a matter of opinion. Its clear the solution is 4. So when u say it diesnt make any sense to you it means u either didnt unserstand it or cant understand it(due to the lack of knowledge) or you understand it but refuse to accept it(=ignorance)

Creationists say God created humans just like that. As in, humans didn't evolve from anything. I believe the theory of how humans evolved from apes, not just appearing suddenly

You understand what I'm trying to say?

I hate to say something like "the church is corrupt" but I think that whole system has too much influence from man made ideas and don't truly reflect what god intended

What a stupid thing to say. There's the pyramids. Tiwanaku. Puma punku. Sacsayhuaman. Somewhat Stonehenge. Costa Rican Stone Spheres. Trillithon at Baalbeck. I'm sure there are more. Google, my friend.
