Due to the tools being the pieces that contain the kyuubi's chakra, the Tools of the Sage will also connect naruto to the So6P. It is likely, and obvious as to where the So6P has sealed his legacy. His Gourd holds the key to Narutos survival.
Due to tenten finding the tools are realizing the importance instantly, and Guy stating that they will be coming to their location not to be one upped.
Sasuke will also be saved, (his body at least) in one way shape or form.
(it is possible that it is Kabuto still, as Orchimaru wasn't menacing those thinking dots, he was considering that Kabuto had realized his true self and would be on the side of good once more, as Orchimaru obtained his powers back from Kabuto.
This leads me to believe that once the Kyuubi's charka from the gourd, that has been festering within the juubi Madara. no less, (possibly got some charka from it) that Naruto will at least awaken a new level of power, and once sasuke is healed by (probably) Juugo giving up his life, (and thus obtaining Sage Ninjutsu) (this is kinda shown in foreshadowing with the 8tails fight) (juugo reverting to more and more child like features).
It will likely as go this way with Sasuke, he is saved by Kabuto, but even Kabuto's amazing healing abilities will not be enough to fully mature sasuke to his previous strength, or possibly even save his life. (at this point Kabuto is just keeping them alive or Hawk to arrive.) Juugo will offer to give up his life, and (sasuke is a lot stronger with senjutsu as seen with his susano) due to the fully merged power of a Sage Jutsu shinobi using Susano, he will truely awake Perfect Susano. We have not seen madara with the ability to use MS techniques any longer, thus suggesting that these Rinnegan eyes, (which Nagato surely could of switched to an MS technique if he could of) The only reason as to why Madara was able to use his sharingan was that Kabuto had manufactured his DNA to his prime. This would include MS, and not only MS, but Rinnegan abilities due to his body containing the 1sts dna.)
Sasuke also hasn't used the abilities he has gained from the 1st yet, including this jutsu which is possibly how the 1st took a stinker on Madara so hard.) Sasuke was pierced before he could even react. However, Juugo's power of merging fully loading him with the ability to wield Sage Jutsu, (has seen with Naruto+Sasuke, and Sasuke Juugo Susano merged) that Sage jutsu is also the most classifiable way to defeat a So6P reincarnate.
This leads to me to believe that after both receiving higher powers from merging powers once again, they will at least stall project tyskuomi. At this point, no one can stop it seeing as Madara is about to obtain his last eye, and the tree is about to possibly bear a fruit, + it being ready for his plan. I believe that Minato will obtain the fruit, transport Naruto and Sasuke, they will split the fruit, or Naruto takes it.) Again, Madara getting his last eye, and they believing that he is the one who activates the jutsu)
If Minato isn't done for yet, it is kind of foreshadowed that it is him as Kishimoto kind of gave up the 2nd for grabs leaving him to be the only one fast enough even think about being Madara to it.) He also could of already planted a seal.
At this point though, the fruit bearing will signal to the plan about to go through as once the tree (possibly matures to full power as needed for Madara to activate his plan, and why he mentioned when it fruits), and Project Tyskuomi will be activated, and the true climax to Naruto Shippuden will be upon us. Then we can start falling the trail back to Sasuke and Naruto fighting for Hokage, bringing the story to a true resolution, as with Madara and the 1st.
