Minato a failure?

It's too early to name him a complete failure. He's really left me disappointed, he left his team alone and all would be dead now if it wasnt for Obito. He's a war hero, which is a common title within the village. His credit is given when protecting the village against the attack formulated by Tobi.

Latest chapter further confirmed his genius status for me

1- Learn forbidden hereditary Uzumaki techniques despite not possessing the DNA
2- Learn, master and perfect Tobirama's S-rank jutsu despite having not lived in his era(created even variants of it)
3- Can use every elements:

4- Only person in the manga besides Haku who has shown to perform one handed signs, something that was suggested to be impossible
5- Seal tailed beast with just one of his hands
6- Create rasengan just by observing Tailed beast Bomb
7- Develop Tobirama's finger sensing better by using only one his fingers

Along with many other feats. He is bashed for no reasons if you ask me U_U

I'm not aware of the multiple elements and performing a jutsu w/ one hand. But i meant his inability to react to Zetsu on multiple accounts. I just wantes your honest opinion on that.

Minato miss an arm. His lone arm was already busy finishing the sealing transfer. He had no way to hit/catch BZ in this condition other than using the same busy arm to try and hit BZ again. So the time the transfer finishes with his sole hand, the time Minato creates a rasengan with this same hand, in the meantime BZ had enough time to dig underground. If anything he has shown amazing reflexes for me by being capable to finish the transfer, form a one handed rasengan and almost hit BZ despite the surprise of him suddenly appearing infront of him, but i guess it depends on how you see it

People forget that minato only has one hand at the moment and was in the process of sealing yin Kurama inside naruto when Black zetsu came out of nowhere and Took Kurama's chakra.

Minato had no time to react with one hand already doing the seals. Minato was still fast to react as he made a rasengan the next second but was too late as BZ moves near instant.

Your son is about to die at any second while facing an enemy with a bunch of allies and you've the unique solution to save him. What will you do in Minato's case?

a- Continue to fight the enemy as if nothing happened

b- Proceed to save him as quickly as possible regardless of the enemy

c- You know you've allies so you leave them occupy the enemy the time to save him as quickly as possible

d- Other(which one?)

Most legit reason IMO

Minato left the dealing with BZ task to Kakashi, and since BZ can't be sensed even Kakashi couldn't notice what happened.

BZ travels really fast under ground...

While it's true i may be biased since we talk about Minato, i only reported something showed in the manga. If you even see his body language you'll realise this

This is a sign of struggle. Minato was struggling by the fact of wanting to kill BZ as soon as possible but with the lack of an arm, it was harder

Concerning the one handed sign, it's what he used before trying to seal yin Kurama in Naruto in latest chapter

I see! That's good, i wouldn't have noticed that single hand seal. Thank you for providing that scan, I'll take that into consideration.

I see your point with the possible struggle, i won't completely deny that. But I'm also referring to Zetsu taking Obtio's body and Minato unable to intercept. The way peole describe his conflict in Ay, Minato had time to consciously toss a kunia with a bullet in face, yet couldn't use this movement to react to Zetsu. That's a bit questionable, which is why i always questioned whether he really tossed the kunia from Kish's perspective.

I don't see where the whole "Minato is perfect" thing came from. No ninja can be perfect, they kill as an occupation for goodness sake lol. In all seriousness though, everybody makes mistakes.

And Minato being a failure is true, he's even acknowledged that himself, but all the positives he has done far outweigh the negatives.

To me this just seems like a witch hunt, Hashirama failed, Tobirama failed, Hiruzen failed Big time, Kakashi failed, even Naruto has failed, and don't even get me started on Itachi.

But this unnecessary hostility to Minato is uncalled for. A lot of people on NB hate Minato because of his awesomeness compared to their own favs and are now using last chapter to pathetically shame him, never seen this much hate to a character making a mistake before. He's a badass ninja that owns people with just a kunai, how can you hate him?

I agree with this, Gaara diddnt even know what happend while Minato had his rasengan ready - while he's handycapped and was forced to do this with his left hand.
