So, a friend of my mother's had to leave her job to pick up her kids from school. My mom usually does this for her, but I had to go to the Hospital, so she couldn't. Then today, she didn;t go because her son had to go to the Hospital. These are the only two days she's missed in God knows how long, and they fired her. Here in Jackson Mississippi, it's hard to find a good job. The fact that they just dropped her like that makes me sick. To know that they know how hard it is now-a-days, tells me how ruthless and sick they are.

What do you think about this? How should her bosses have handled this iyo?

Don't lose faith in humanity. Lose faith in the system and terms on how we employ people.

So, you lost faith in the whole planet, which has millions of millions of people, because one company fired an individual that was relevantly close to you? I see.

Interesting.

This is when I lost faith:

"Zetus > Minato"

"Naruto > Minato"

"Naruto BSM > PS Sasuke"

"Shadow dude is Lord Jashin"

"The shadow dude is asuma"

"The shadow dude is Tobirama's soul"

True.

Interesting.

You think this only happened to one person? I'm positive it has happened more planet-wise.

Maybe she should of went to work..

I guess so ._.

This issue isn't as simple as you make it out to be. You have to take into consideration protocol. Did she leave during work time? While she has an obligation and responsibility to make sure her kids are taken care of, the company or whatever she works for does not. Their responsibility is to make sure work goes as expected. What is the extent of the situation? If she left during work time the first time and they warned her that that's not cool, and she did it again, then they're justified in firing her. While I understand where she's coming from, I also understand the company's side to this. Everyone has their own responsibilities to take care of. Maybe it's a bit selfish on their part. Who knows? Good luck to her and her kids.

Most ppl don't realize how screwed up this world is until it affects them. Still, one corrupt company shouldn't be enough to shake ur confidence in this world. U have a whole life to realize that most of humanity are selfish and even rotten. Enjoy your blissful youth in ignorance.:snick: and when u are grown up enough to experience the world on your own by what u have observed with our own eyes, then make your decision:win:

Sadly, this kind of scenario isn't all that uncommon. Most employers can and will fire an employee whenever they feel like it, most times without giving a suitable reason. It's quite disheartening, especially when most companies don't care in the slightest about their employees' well-being or parenting duties.

I hope she finds somewhere better to work, or perhaps manages to pick up a decent work-from-home job. Having been through unemployment myself, I can understand how difficult it is.

You hardly have enough knowledge on the company and this situation to be calling them corrupt. For all you know, this woman could have had other minor issues in the past that made this unacceptable.

I agree. The firs time she left during work hours. Even though she left during werk hours though, it's not like she had a reputation for it or anything. I still think the company should have been a little lax on her.

The mistreatment of other human beings and abuse of children/sick/elderly tends to make me sick, for brief periods of time.

Not business.

Meh, I dunno. When you're lax with people, they tend to think they can get away it, that it's more okay than it really is.
