He hasn't really done all that much besides use Obito's body knowing they won't try to harm him. He's sneaky but he's not a front-line fighter.

Well zetsu is zetsu, they are all connected, basically clones of eachother, if anything WZ & SZ should be counted as one while BZ is the odd one out. But in any case B+W are high kage, & S would be even higher than them.

You missed my point.

The meaning behind zetsu's words is that he's facing a "god" level shinobi [BM minato] & a mid-high kage level shinobi with one of the most powerful attacks in the series.

Of course they would kill him in that situation, as you said a simple bijuudama ends him, but that doesnt change his level of strength.

Black zetsu takes the shape of whatever he is adapted to, and uses the power in a lower level.

So if it's black zetsu attached to white zetsu, then he only can force out twigs for mokuton via white zetsu and spores technique.

On his own attached to a bunch of rocks, he'll lose to ramen guy's assistant.

He needs white zetsu to use mokuton or Obito.

He needs to have the same symbiote, in order to merge or control somebody.
