Favorite characters these days

I believe that about 70% have favorite character for its power.Which is ridiculous to me,and only liking the power of that character and no other characteristic of it.Am i right?

Welcome to NB. People liking characters for the shallowest of reasons, you gotta get used to it sadly.

What sucks even more is that my favourite characters just happen to be really powerful and it's also my least favourite thing about them, because then it means people degrade them needlessly and start fights with you. It was NOT fun being a Kabuto fan during the Itachi/Kabuto fight. I don't care about his powers, I liked him from the first time I saw him in part 1.

Its not a surprise since this is a shounen manga whose audience is greatly made up of kids, who're easy to impress.
But i don't really care, at the end of the day i know why i like my favorites and they're the ones who matter to me (i'm talking like they were real people, lel).

you're pretty much spot on. members on the base just say a character is the fav just for power as soon as said character loses a power up or is in a tight situation they move to a different character. I.e. the sasuke fanboys that changed to madara bandwagoners now.

Everyone has different reasons to like who they like. That seems to be a common thing here. Me, personally, it's about the character as a whole, personality. Jugo, Obito, Kiba, Tenten, Sasori, Gaara, and other favorites of mine I all like because of who they are and not their powers. I can think "That's a cool ability" but I will never have a favorite character based on pure power.
