Yugito Akkipuden Episode 34: Until Next Time

Author's Note: The Akatsuki has just freed Kabuto Yakushi after being locked away in an incarceration chamber for the last 27 years! What are they intending on using him for?! In the Land of Iron, three Akatsuki members have interrupted another Gokage Summit! What's about to happen!?
~Konohagakure Forest, Gathering Spot of the Konoha 12
Both Hayate and Seiji were on their backs. The clash had knocked them both unconscious for a short time; Seiji's Raiton no Yoroi expired. Seiji was the first to come to and saw that Hayate was still unconscious. He stood and walked over to him. He then did the proper hand seals for the Raikiri. The buzzing of the lightning was enough to wake up Hayate. He sat up and as he tried to stand, Seiji stomped on his chest.
Hayate: Urgh… Damn…
Seiji stood over him, with his foot still on his chest, and held the Raikiri like he was holding a baseball in a baseball mitt. He stared at Hayate with those dead, emotionless eyes and that same blank expression. He cocked his hand back and just before he could thrust his hand into Hayate, a flurry of kunai are hurled at Seiji from the trees. He began dodging the kunai and deflecting the ones that got too close with the back of his hand (while the Raikiri was still activate). Just then, a hand full of explosive kunai are hurled from another tree at him. They stick into the ground in front of him and he jumps back. The kunai bombs were just duds as a strategy to get him away from Hayate. It turns out the Shikoku was in the trees releasing him traps at him. He used the time that they were unconscious to set up traps in certain areas just in case.
Aijō was flowing around on a large sheet of metal with Kabuto who was knelt down with the shroud over him again. Seiji looked up to see her.
Aijō: Let's go. We've got our target.
She created and lowered a platform for him and he hopped on. As the three glided off over the trees, Aijō and Kabuto both had their backs turned to Hayate, but Seiji stood on the end of the platform and stared at him as he floated away. Hayate stared right back at Seiji.
Hayate (whispering to himself): Until next time… brother…
A large group of about 25 Konoha Shinobi appeared out the woods and scanned the area. They saw the bodies on the ground.
Tokubetsu Jounin: We've got a group of Chūnin here. Many casualties.
The group of Shinobi quickly scattered around and tended to the wounded Konoha 12 members. Among this large group was Ino, Shino, Kiba, Choji and Rock Lee. Twelve of the Shinobi stayed behind and the rest continued in the direction after Aijō, Seiji and Kabuto. A medic approached Hayate.
Ino: Gather the wounded and get them back to the village now!
Kiba: C'mon! We gotta head after that Akatsuki member!
Ino and Shino stayed as Kiba, Choji and Lee dashed after the enemy along with everyone else.
Medic Ninja 1: Son of Hokage-sama, are you alright?
Hayate: I'll survive. Help them.
He pointed to the others. Just then, he remembered Asuka. She was viciously shocked by her lover. He looked around and saw a medic lifting her head up as she laid lifelessly on the ground. He hurried over to her.
Hayate: Asuka-chan!
He knelt down next to her.
Hayate: How is she doing, doc?
Medic Ninja 2: Not too good. We need to get her to the hospital are she won't make it. Her heart rate is too slow and gradually dropping.
Hayate: Come on, Asuka-chan. You're okay…
Medic Ninja 2: What happened to her?
Hayate: She was nearly shocked to death by a powerful lightning style jutsu.
Medic Ninja 2: Damn… well whoever did this nearly killed her.
Hayate looked down and away from Asuka, knowing that Seiji was the one that practically killed her. Shikoku approached Ino.
Shikoku: What the hell happened? How did you know we were out here?
Ino: We didn't. The Akatsuki attacked our village. It turns out that it was only one of them but she created a number of clones out of pure steel. They did quite a bit of damage to the village.
Shikoku: Dammit… They won't get away with this!
Shino: Round up all the wounded. Are there any fatalities?
Medic Ninja 3: Only one, Shino-sama. He's a Chūnin.
Shino: Hm... Let's move out.
~Gokage Summit Venue, Bottom Floor
The Gokage were standing before the Akatsuki with their respective bodyguards on either side of them.
Masked Man: Now, as I said, you do not want to fight us. We simply wish to talk.
Sakura: Anything dealing with the Jinchūriki is nonnegotiable!
Utada: We'll do what we must in order to keep the balance in this world. We will stop you here!
Darui looked back at Utada and nodded.
Masked Man: Look at it this way, if you refuse our terms, then everyone will die and it will be your faults. You've got the opportunity to save the world right now.
Ōtatsuchi: If your intentions are the same as the previous Akatsuki's, then you aren't saving the world!
The man behind the mask chuckled at her comment. Everyone looked at the Akatsuki with great distaste.
Masked Man: Then so be it. I hereby announce the beginning of the Sixth Great Ninja War! Shinra Tensei! (Almighty Push)
He aimed his hand at the Gokage and their guards. Sanji quickly did the "Bird" hand seal and pull his hands out in front. A wall of glass appeared and was shattered by the Shinra Tensei. Nikushimi jumped up and did a front flip to gain momentum.
Nikushimi: Bakuton: Bakuhatsu Shokku Nami! (Explosive Shockwave)
She came down and slammed her left heel onto the floor, sending explosions through the floor and towards the Kage.
Kurotsuchi: Suiton: Mizurappa! (Water Style: Water Trumpet)
Kurotsuchi doused the floor in tons of water. Darui quickly did hand seals.
Darui: Raiton: Kangekiha! (Lightning Style: Wave of Inspiration)
He passed black lightning through the water and neutralized the explosions that were coming their way.
Rise: Shakuton: Kajōsatsu! (Scorch Style: Extremely Steaming Murder)
Four bright red orbs that greatly resembled tiny suns began revolving around her. Chōjūrō and Fuyō both had their weapons drawn and Mandō did the "Tiger" hand seal.
Mandō: Tōton: Tōketsu Gurenēdo! (Freeze Style: Frozen Grenades)
He created three baseball sized balls of light blue ice and threw them at the Akatsuki. The grenades detonated before hitting the ground and trapped all three of the Akatsuki in ice, essentially freezing them to death in an instant. Sakura dashed at the frozen Akatsuki and jumped into the air.
Sakura: Shannarō! (Cha!)
She punched the ground in front of the Akatsuki and crushed the floor, causing the frozen enemies to shattered into ice particles.
Sai: Yes!
Ōtatsuchi: Alright, Lady Hokage!
While everyone was cheering on the Hokage, Shī did the seal of confrontation and focused his chakra. He sensed a strange energy.
Shī: Damn!
Sasui: What's wrong?
Shī: It's a Genjutsu!
Everyone immediately stopped cheering. Suddenly, Nikushimi appeared in midair and rained down an explosive punch to the floor, sending everyone back. Right after that, a thick layer of white mist covered the entire area. Everyone recovered and got back to their feet.
Rise: What the hell? Is this a Kirigakure no Jutsu? (Hidden Mist Jutsu)
Fuyō: No. This is different than the Kirigakure no Jutsu. These are more like clouds than mist.
Sasui: Clouds…?
Darui looked back at Sasui and Shī.
Sasui: There's only been one person with this jutsu… She's a criminal of the Kumogakure.
Shī: Kūkyo…
Sasui: Yeah. It has to be her.
Darui: She must've been the other girl in the Akatsuki cloak. She's changed her appearance and I didn't recognize her right away. But that has to be her.
Utada: Who's Kūkyo?
Darui: I'll explain later. We have to be alert. She could be anywhere in the Kumo Sekai. (Cloud World)
Mandō: Kumo Sekai? What kind of jutsu is this?
Darui: She can disappear and reappear anywhere in the Cloud World she's created. She's bound to strike at any moment.
Masked Man (from within the Cloud World): Let it be known, you had the chance to save the world. Now you get to live knowing you've just doomed it. We'll meet again… on the battlefield.
The Cloud World jutsu began to dissipate and the room became clear again. The Akatsuki had used Kūkyo's jutsu to escape without a trace. The Shinobi and samurai looked around the room just in case. Darui released his Raiton no Yoroi and the black lightning began to disappear. Rise released her jutsu and the orbs vanished. Mandō put his protective gloves back on. Sakura walked back over to the others.
Utada: What are we dealing with here?
Sakura: There's no doubt about it now. The Akatsuki is back and they have the same intentions as last time.
Darui: And they've declared war against the Allied Shinobi Forces once again.
Ōtatsuchi: But we just ended a war between the Nations. Isn't there any way to avoid another? All villages suffered greatly from the war and it's only been a little over two weeks.
Darui: We have no choice. They are after the Bijū and they want to take over the world. As the Gokage, we cannot let that happen. The Akatsuki are persistent. They won't stop until they get what they want. So to prevent any unnecessary deaths, we have to take action now.
Utada: I agree with Raikage-dono. We have to put an end to the Akatsuki before anything happens.
Sakura: Raikage, are you willing to be the Supreme Leader of the Allied Shinobi Forces?
Darui: I accept.
Sakura: All in favor?
Utada, Mandō, Ōtatsuchi and Sakura: I.
Sakura: Then it's settled. Shikamaru, you are the Jōnin Commander of the Konohagakure. Are you willing to be the Chief Strategist of the Allied Shinobi Forces?
Shikamaru: In honor of my deceased father, I accept.
Sakura: Sai, I'm appointing you as the Sealing Team Commander as a preparation. In case the Akatsuki plans on using the Edo Tensei again.
Sai: Yes, ma'am!
Ōtatsuchi: Shall we return to the summit room and discuss this?
Tōrei: Excellent idea. I'll have the samurai and your bodyguards posted all over the building while you continue with the summit.
The Gokage began walking back to the summit room. Ōtatsuchi caught up to Darui.
Ōtatsuchi: Darui-sama. Are you sure it's a good idea to go to war again. Just as all five nations were just starting to recover?
Darui: I don't like the idea of another war either, but it has to be done if the Akatsuki are threatening the world again.
Ōtatsuchi looked at the ground as she walked. Mandō, Sakura and Utada were walking behind the Tsuchikage and Raikage.
Utada: I understand that war isn't the best way to handle things, but it seems necessary in a situation like this.
Sakura: Many years ago, before the Fourth Great Ninja War, there was a Gokage Summit taking place. And much like this one, the Akatsuki attacked it. After the fighting, a man named Obito Uchiha declared war on the Five Nations because we refused to hand over the Jinchūriki. Since it seems like the same situation is happening again, war is the only option. We will do whatever it takes to defend the remaining Jinchūriki and protect the Five Nations along with the entire world.
Mandō nodded in agreement. Darui looked over his shoulder at Sakura then back forward again. He smiled.
Darui: Hmph.
~Island Turtle
Yugito, Midori and Bee #2 were walking through the trees on the island turtle; they were leading Yugito to a specify location.
Yugito: Where exactly are we going?
Bee: You'll see when we get there, bakayaro! (fool)
Yugito's facial expression changed to frustrations. They've been travelling through the forest for a while now. She overheard the two say something about a waterfall, but that's about it.
Midori: There. We're here.
The three exited the trees and shrubbery to see a large waterfall.
Midori: This is the Falls of Truth.
The overly large waterfall was surrounded by rocks and had a concentrated stream of water flowing through it. It was a beautiful site.
Yugito: This waterfall is amazing…
Midori: It is amazing. It is also the first step in controlling your Bijū.
Yugito: It is?
Bee: Yeah! The first step is to face ones true self. Good luck and I hope it goes well!
Bee began walking away.
Midori: Wait, Bee-san? Where are you going?
Bee: I'll be right back, Midori-chan.
He gave her a smile and a sparkly thumb up.
Midori: Alright. Don't be too long. I might need your help in stage two.
Bee: You got it, homie! I'll be back in a flash!
He casually walked into the forest. Midori watched him exit.
Midori: Anyway… The first step is to face the inner you.
Yugito: The inner me? What the heck does that mean?
Midori: You're inner thoughts will come into human form, and you'll have to confront it.
Yugito: How do I get my inner self to come out?
Midori (while pointing): See the little patch of land in the water? All you gotta do is sit on that and clear your mind.
Yugito: So, sit and meditate? Sounds easy enough.
Midori: Don't get too cocky, Yugito-chan. You're more powerful than you think.
Midori's last comment was a tad confusing to Yugito, but she ignored it and began walking across the water. She sat on the center of the rock in the middle of the water, with her legs crossed Indian style, and she placed her hands in her lap. She closed her eyes and began to slowly clear her mind. Midori was lying on the soft grass away from Yugito. She had her hands behind the back of her head and she had her ankles crossed.
After a few moments of silence, Yugito heard a disturbance in the flow of the water falling from the top of the waterfall. She looked to see an exact image of herself standing in the waterfall. The water was splashing down on the girl that greatly resembled Yugito. Then it occurred to her, it was herself, but something wasn't right. Instead of the blue eyes she knows she has, the girl standing before her had red eyes; this Yugito also had a menacing smile. She checked her surroundings and the area around her was brighter, much brighter to where she couldn't even see Midori who was laying on the ground only a few meters away. Yugito stood up.
Yugito: Are you… me?
Dark Yugito: Believe it or not, yes. I am you.
Yugito: How… What are you doing here?
Dark Yugito: To confront you.
Yugito: Hm?!
Dark Yugito: I am you, so I know everything about you. Everything you do, everything you say, everything you think, I know about it.
Yugito: Really now?
Dark Yugito: Yeah, just like I know that you still hate the Kirigakure for what they did to Mom.
Yugito's eyes grew wide.
Yugito: Shut up!
Dark Yugito: It's okay. I feel the same way. I hate them. I would travel to the Kirigakure and slaughter them all myself if I could. Women, child and all. Even the old.
Yugito: Shut up! I'd never do that! I killed the Mizukage! I don't hate the Kirigakure anymore! I stopped the man that killed Mom and saved that village from a tyrant!
Dark Yugito: Heh, heh, heh. You know what; you're more naive than I thought.
Yugito: Huh? What do you mean?!
Dark Yugito: I know everything you're thinking. Even right now. You don't want to accept it, but you still hate them. Everyone in that village. You want them dead. Killing the Mizukage wasn't enough, you want more.
Yugito: No…
Dark Yugito: Hm?
Yugito: You're wrong. I don't want to kill them. I already got my revenge on the Mizukage. I'd do anything to protect the Kirigakure from another tyrant. I'd save them if they needed help!
Dark Yugito: You're lying to yourself… literally. Everything you're saying is a damn lie. You couldn't care less about them. The moment you found out that Mom died, and the Kirigakure was behind it, you wanted to kill the entire village.
Yugito: I get that you're me, but that's stupid! I would never kill innocent people just to get revenge! That's something you would do!
Dark Yugito: You're right, it is something I'd do. And since I'm you, and you're me, then that means you'd do the same thing.
Yugito's face tightened up in anger and she clinched her teeth. She was beginning to lose her patience.
Dark Yugito: What? Are you gonna fight me?
Yugito didn't respond.
Dark Yugito: We're evenly matched, so it won't go anywhere.
Yugito: We'll see about that!
Yugito got in her fighting stance and had a very serious face, still clinching her teeth. Dark Yugito simply had her arms crossed and still had that same menacing smile aimed at Yugito.

Ōtatsuchi: Darui-sama. Are you sure it's a good idea to go to war again. Just as all five nations were just starting to recover?
Darui: I don't like the idea of another war either, but it has to be done if the Akatsuki are threatening the world again.
Ōtatsuchi looked at the ground as she walked. Mandō, Sakura and Utada were walking behind the Tsuchikage and Raikage.
Utada: I understand that war isn't the best way to handle things, but it seems necessary in a situation like this.
Sakura: Many years ago, before the Fourth Great Ninja War, there was a Gokage Summit taking place. And much like this one, the Akatsuki attacked it. After the fighting, a man named Obito Uchiha declared war on the Five Nations because we refused to hand over the Jinchūriki. Since it seems like the same situation is happening again, war is the only option. We will do whatever it takes to defend the remaining Jinchūriki and protect the Five Nations along with the entire world.
Mandō nodded in agreement. Darui looked over his shoulder at Sakura then back forward again. He smiled.
Darui: Hmph.
~Island Turtle
Yugito, Midori and Bee #2 were walking through the trees on the island turtle; they were leading Yugito to a specify location.
Yugito: Where exactly are we going?
Bee: You'll see when we get there, bakayaro! (fool)
Yugito's facial expression changed to frustrations. They've been travelling through the forest for a while now. She overheard the two say something about a waterfall, but that's about it.
Midori: There. We're here.
The three exited the trees and shrubbery to see a large waterfall.
Midori: This is the Falls of Truth.
The overly large waterfall was surrounded by rocks and had a concentrated stream of water flowing through it. It was a beautiful site.
Yugito: This waterfall is amazing…
Midori: It is amazing. It is also the first step in controlling your Bijū.
Yugito: It is?
Bee: Yeah! The first step is to face ones true self. Good luck and I hope it goes well!
Bee began walking away.
Midori: Wait, Bee-san? Where are you going?
Bee: I'll be right back, Midori-chan.
He gave her a smile and a sparkly thumb up.
Midori: Alright. Don't be too long. I might need your help in stage two.
Bee: You got it, homie! I'll be back in a flash!
He casually walked into the forest. Midori watched him exit.
Midori: Anyway… The first step is to face the inner you.
Yugito: The inner me? What the heck does that mean?
Midori: You're inner thoughts will come into human form, and you'll have to confront it.
Yugito: How do I get my inner self to come out?
Midori (while pointing): See the little patch of land in the water? All you gotta do is sit on that and clear your mind.
Yugito: So, sit and meditate? Sounds easy enough.
Midori: Don't get too cocky, Yugito-chan. You're more powerful than you think.
Midori's last comment was a tad confusing to Yugito, but she ignored it and began walking across the water. She sat on the center of the rock in the middle of the water, with her legs crossed Indian style, and she placed her hands in her lap. She closed her eyes and began to slowly clear her mind. Midori was lying on the soft grass away from Yugito. She had her hands behind the back of her head and she had her ankles crossed.
After a few moments of silence, Yugito heard a disturbance in the flow of the water falling from the top of the waterfall. She looked to see an exact image of herself standing in the waterfall. The water was splashing down on the girl that greatly resembled Yugito. Then it occurred to her, it was herself, but something wasn't right. Instead of the blue eyes she knows she has, the girl standing before her had red eyes; this Yugito also had a menacing smile. She checked her surroundings and the area around her was brighter, much brighter to where she couldn't even see Midori who was laying on the ground only a few meters away. Yugito stood up.
Yugito: Are you… me?
Dark Yugito: Believe it or not, yes. I am you.
Yugito: How… What are you doing here?
Dark Yugito: To confront you.
Yugito: Hm?!
Dark Yugito: I am you, so I know everything about you. Everything you do, everything you say, everything you think, I know about it.
Yugito: Really now?
Dark Yugito: Yeah, just like I know that you still hate the Kirigakure for what they did to Mom.
Yugito's eyes grew wide.
Yugito: Shut up!
Dark Yugito: It's okay. I feel the same way. I hate them. I would travel to the Kirigakure and slaughter them all myself if I could. Women, child and all. Even the old.
Yugito: Shut up! I'd never do that! I killed the Mizukage! I don't hate the Kirigakure anymore! I stopped the man that killed Mom and saved that village from a tyrant!
Dark Yugito: Heh, heh, heh. You know what; you're more naive than I thought.
Yugito: Huh? What do you mean?!
Dark Yugito: I know everything you're thinking. Even right now. You don't want to accept it, but you still hate them. Everyone in that village. You want them dead. Killing the Mizukage wasn't enough, you want more.
Yugito: No…
Dark Yugito: Hm?
Yugito: You're wrong. I don't want to kill them. I already got my revenge on the Mizukage. I'd do anything to protect the Kirigakure from another tyrant. I'd save them if they needed help!
Dark Yugito: You're lying to yourself… literally. Everything you're saying is a damn lie. You couldn't care less about them. The moment you found out that Mom died, and the Kirigakure was behind it, you wanted to kill the entire village.
Yugito: I get that you're me, but that's stupid! I would never kill innocent people just to get revenge! That's something you would do!
Dark Yugito: You're right, it is something I'd do. And since I'm you, and you're me, then that means you'd do the same thing.
Yugito's face tightened up in anger and she clinched her teeth. She was beginning to lose her patience.
Dark Yugito: What? Are you gonna fight me?
Yugito didn't respond.
Dark Yugito: We're evenly matched, so it won't go anywhere.
Yugito: We'll see about that!
Yugito got in her fighting stance and had a very serious face, still clinching her teeth. Dark Yugito simply had her arms crossed and still had that same menacing smile aimed at Yugito.
