The idea around Rukia bankai is pretty sweet.

But it begs the question to what kind of cloths, Rukia is wearing.

I mean her googles froze and broke off from her, you think her outfit would freeze and fall off.....now that be funny.

Cool chapter, would like some flashback on Rukia training though, if its like Renji's where he didn't have the full name of his bankai.

Meh, all the freezing body stuff is cool and all, but it's kinda iffy as water freezes and turns into ice by default at 0°, so all that stuff about that blood freezes at that #° seems kinda pointless as ice is already supposed to be very cold. Unless she was talking about her own bloodstream and not that of Äs Nödt, but then the whole 'freezing body stuff' is utterly pointless as what kind of use does it have in a normal battle? As it is now the whole purpose of it was solely to block the 'fear' and even that is flawed. I mean the fear only works on the living, meaning a body that functions and Rukia's body is in a frozen state, so it doesn't work. The Reishi thing I can still believe for making the body move, but how is she then still able to speak and think normally? Something should still be alive to make all of that possible and on top of that as a Shinigami she's already supposed to be dead ._.

I really hate it when Kubo uses his typical write-a-problem-where-there-is-none-to-then-provide-a-miraculous-solution-for-it habit.

According to As Nodt, Fear is what every living being holds towards death. But Rukia is a shinigami, so she's technically already dead...

from what i gathered from the whole chapter was that in the state of absolute zero she is as fast as ice freezing but only for 4 seconds as she stated. the only problem is how the reishi control actually works too control this method of movement. i gotta agree though kubo pulled that outta some kuchiki ass hat.

That's exactly what I was wondering as well. There is just way to much mental effort it would take to manipulate reishi in order for her to function in a fight at those temperatures. She'd basically have to be controlling her brain and nerves to respond to the commands, not only that but concentrate and control her movements through the fight, the logic just isn't there. You can't control your brains function to that extreme.

I know it's a manga and not real, but kubo could've put more effort into coming up with a legit idea for rukia.
