[Discussion] Was there any Straw Hat that you really just did not want to join the crew?

For me it was Ussop, he just really sucked in the beginning of One Piece. He was a coward, his lies were annoying, and he really just sucked a$$..

I want the next nakama to be a female but I'm not feelin' Rebecca's character at all. She's just so boring to me, maybe if we see more of her I'll have a better opinion of her but as of right now she's meh to me.

Btw I really like Ussop alot now, he's cool and pretty funny imo.

Yeah Nami can be just a tad bit annoying sometimes but she's nice to look at now so I look past it.

My hatred for Ussop and Chopper was at it's prime during the Water 7 arc

Lmaoo yeah man he was so terrible and annoying babbling on about the Going Merry, that whole thing with the Merry dying never intrigued me to be honest. I was just happy to see the Thousand Sunny show up.

That's when I hated Ussop and Chopper the most and Sanji pissed me off too but getting in the way of their argument. Zoro is the only person who handled it like a man, that's why he's my favorite character.

Why didn't you want Jinbei to join? I think the crew needs to have a fishman. It really fits within the whole human/fishman equality aspect of the series

Yeah I really don't care for his reunion with his Yassop. The only father-son reunion that I want to see is Luffy and Dragon. That will be even more epic than Naruto and Minato's meeting imo..but I'm bias because I like Sasuke and Itachi more lol

Yeah I'd rather Violet join the crew to but giving the revelation of Rebecca's backstory, her fighting skill and her quick befriending of Luffy, I can definitely picture Luffy asking her to be his nakama by the end of the Dressrosa arc.

Normally I would say something like "you suck" or "you don't know sh*t" but I have too much respect for Kira for me to disrespect you in such a manner.

OT:I liked it when Franky was a douche, especially when he beat the crap out of Ussop.

I despised Franky at first. I felt like he was such a big cause for the split between Usopp and the SH's. I've always liked Usopp so for him to feel weak because of Franky's crew, I really felt bad for the guy. I didn't like Franky so much, I pretty skipped his backstory and just thought of him as such a douche. Though as Water 7 kept progressing, I started to get used to him and then went back to his backstory and started to like him somewhat. Now that he's been with the crew for a while, I really liked the guy before and after the timeskip. I didn't want Franky to join at first though, I thought he was gonna make a bad fit but I'm sure glad I was wrong about that.

Yeah some characters just take some getting use to. But I think Ussop and the SH were gonna split no matter what because Ussop was being such an unreasonable douche about the Going Merry. But now I really like Ussop, the only SH that I dislike now is Chopper. He has his good moments every now and then but overall the kid is just trash.
