Give your thoughts: DNA vs Chakra & Obito's Izanagi

Ok so many people do not think it is possible for the RINNEGAN and/or IZANAGI to be obtained without Senju 'DNA'.......yet WE ARE NEVER TOLD that DNA is what unlocks these abilities. All we know is that Madara himself implanted Hashirama's blood or whatever inside of him after their fight but it was only until closer to his death that he unlocked the rinnegan. What we are actually told is that these techniques are unlocked when the >>POWERS<< of the Uchiha and Senju come together!

Now you might be thinking that Obito was lying and actually using Kamui but NO...check out his eyes: he has TWO sharingan; One is his Kamui and the other is an extra. He probably used the technique just for experience and knowing he was gonna get the rinnegan anyways.

Now we should also understand the deceit or confusion behind Obito and his words: If Obito was lying, he could have been actually talking about Madara's story; that Madara used izanagi to survive death by Hashirama's hands. After all he was pretending to be Madara and this could be used as evidence that chakra/dna are one in the same. Oh and if you still think Zetsu was the one talking through Obito all these years I think you're wrong because Obito was only using zetsu so he could immediately fight, otherwise he used the gedo mazo and Hashi's cultured dna to fix and create him an artificial body. see?


Now does everyone think that only Senju 'DNA' alone unlocks Rinnegan/Izanagi for the one who has the sharingan or could it be a good portion of Senju chakra that could do it as well? Give your thoughts about Obito's Izanagi as well.

(For me I think that Senju chakra also works in unlocking the rinnegan/izanagi)

I'm pretty sure its the DNA, chakra is just a very general power source, there isn't such thing as senju chakra, chakra is chakra. It's the bloodline or DNA of the individual that determines its severity,use and potential.

DNA is needed it will also provide chakra.

Hmm I think that would be true but I defer in that both of these bloodlines Uchiha and Senju use DIFFERENT powers, kinda like Yin and Yang they aren't the same. So how is their chakra one in the same??? Chakra isn't just chakra, otherwise Sage chakra would not have a different effect on the Juubi or its Jinchuuriki than ordinary chakra would.

this guy just wants to hear that sasuke can awaken the rinnegan too....but dude that isn't possible since it NEEDS SENJU DNA AND UCHIHA DNA TOGETHER to unlock it....
Chakra:- it is the moulding of the physical energy
it is nothing related to senju dna or senju linage its just plane simple chakra

I actually like your theory maybe the dna is only needed to produce senju chakra and also maybe since the eternal eyes never loses light turns into the rinnegan if he uses izanagi

there are two types of chakra in NV
1. the simple chakra which every ninja has
2. the sage chakra which is completely diff from its conterpart cause it uses external/environmental energy rather than the user's own energy

You need Senju DNA for the Rinnegan. You don't even need Senju DNA or "Senju chakra" for Izanagi or Izanami, they just enhance the effects. Plus by "power of the senju" it's probably referring to Mokuton (not sure about that but that's what I assume since everyone goes after Hashi's DNA and no other Senju's)

That's wrong. Izanagi is an Uchiha kinjutsu just like Izanagi. Izanami was created so Uchiha stopped stealing each other's eyes to use Izanagi which again only requires a Sharingan to be sacrificed. Senju DNA only makes Izanagi last longer.

You need DNA. Its the body of the younger son & the eyes of the elder, those are the "powers". & those "powers" grant certain abilities & special tricks with chakra, but they are not related.

The body is DNA & the eyes are DNA, together they create the rinnegan [as kabuto has proven].

Chakra is a whole different thing.

EDIT: Actually madara proved this & kabuto found a way to replicate it. So we should really be giving madara the credit here

He was referring to creation of all things that goes by same name. By perfect izanami he means COAT

Uchihas existed long b4 war with senju, brobably fighting others and had no senju dna for izanagi yet were using it.

I didn't really make this thread to say I am right: I'm not really even theorizing much: just wanted to see the idea of DNA vs chakra in izanagi and rinnegan.
