What does madara need with the other eye anyway?

It might not matter that much for the Rinnegan, but he can revert his eyes to sharingan and both eyes do something different.
Maybe the same applies for the Rinnegan (meaning you have more Rinnegan jutsus with two eyes).
Next to this, your vision is handicapped if you have only one eye.

It doesn't look like he can. Like we saw with Kakashi, Obito, and Nagato. they received eyes containing dojutsu, and can't seem to revert them to any other form (other than Mangekyo from 3 tome) Nagato and Obito couldn't revert Madara's eye(s) back into Sharingan or anything, so I think Madara's stuck with Rinnegan

It seems that you need both eyes to use all 6 paths. So far the only one who has used all 6 paths is Nagato, so that could be one reason why Madara wants his eyes back. Also,

^I don't believe this applies to Madara because he has HIS OWN eyes. Both Nagato and Kakashi had someone ELSE's eyes transplanted into them. Also, remember when Madara went from sharingan to EMS to Rinnegan? I'm pretty sure he can go backwards now as a living human.
