-now sorry 1st why do zetsu's have different personalities?? :
after creating the zetsus from the gedo mazo+hashirama's senju dna statue..Madara used the creation of all things jutsus or "sozo banbutsu" (a developped form of izanagi) creat the Zetsus personalities..
-sozo banbutsu was a rikudo no jutsu used by the sage to devid the juubi into 9 tailed beasts..
-Madara used the same jutsu so he used his imagination and spiritual energy (uchiha powers) to shape the zetsu's and their personalities then by using senju powers or phisical energy madara then made them living beings....
-Madara is A MASTERMIND VILLAIN and the Spiral Zetsu's creation is the best exemple for that and i tell you why..
-Madara did not creat the spiral zetsu randomly :
-1 : the spiral zetsu was created after Madara found obito but befor the incident of Rin's death (wich led to obito becoming evil)
2-notice well the way the spiral zetsu is shaped , i mean the one-eyed face + his body wich is made special to be worn like vessel especially for some1 who has a crushed body (obito)
3-Madara created the spiral zetsu goofy and stupid on purpose why?...later we will understand that..(this will be when the masked man will act like goofy guy and lead akatsuki from the shadow !!)..

-now comes the most important and complex part in this thread and i know you will not believe me but it's as follows :
the reason why Madara choosed obito is becuz obito will serve as new vessel for Madara's immortality..its similar how orochimaru needs new living vesels to prolong his life...
-the mystery of tobi is not over and Madara in fact did not die ..what did itachi told sasuke and us??...he warned us to never believe in fuzzy truth untill we get full explanations..right?..so our eyes and thinking must be able to see through kishimoto's and madara's illusion ...so plzz do not focus on obito and just focus on madara becuz in fact madara is the mystery and not obito :
-Madara was old and weakned he couldn't carry on his Moon eye plan with that old and weak body ..he just wanted to get out of that cave to implement his plan...so when Madara found obito , Madara's golden chance to get out of that cave has finally come its called "obito"....an uchiha who can use mokuton and controll gedo mazo...thats the body madara needs to seal himself within ...so madara sealed part of himself within obito and become an empty shell of his formerself,without even obito realizing this..in other words..madara now exist in 2 places the original madara and tobimadara...the original madara is the reall vessel of tobimadara and he is dead...and tobimadara or simply madara is still alive but in another weaker body (obito)....so the mission of tobidara now is to gather the tailed beasts and then revive his original vessel Madara with rinnetensei and then fuse with him...becuz when madara's body is revived properly with the rinnetensei no jutsu IT WILL TKE THE FORM OF ITS GLDEN AGE..(remember : madara's body has secrets engraved in the uchiha stone )...
-now becuz obito is a living vessel with its own consiousness....Madara must somehow trick obito and make him think that he isn't being controlled by the other madara ..so what he did?..
1-he tells obito to pose as madara, so that when obito talks with others like kisame and itachi , obito will think he fooled them into making them believe he was the legendary shinobi Madara..but in truth it was Madara indeed speaking through obito...

..look at obito's face when madara asked him why started the project befor capturing the kiyubi and hachibi..he looks like he doesn't know what madara is talking about, then something in obito's arm shaked (autoheal) ..madara looks at it and says : "well if it's YOU, then you must have some PLAN !!!"...Edomadara was clearly talking with another persona that controlls obito..
4-since Edomadara was revived via edotensei : tobidara will hide himself and let obito act completly by his free will why??...becuz in order for madara to be rinnetenseid...obito must have his free will and consiousness so as to target the rinnetensei on edomadara...plus one can't revive himself with rinnetensei..so since tobimadara is madara then he can't revive himself with rinnetensei , that is why he is going to let obito act by his free will..
5-during the 5 kages summit : tobidara gave us a general idea of his reall plan: he was an empty shell of his formerself "madara"..and that he plans to go back to his former self by making Nagato use rinntensei to revive his original vessel "Madara"..then become the juubi's jinchuriki...

the reasons why Madara choosed them are :
-1 nagato :to make him use rinetensei on Madara + to unleash the rinnegan's true power (by making him witness yahiko's death)
-2 for obito : to use him as weaker vessel (tobimadara)

at some point i time : tobidara integrated the spiral zetsu within his body to allow him act like goofy guy and lead akatsuki from the shadow..in other words, tobimadara controlls both of spiral zetsu and obito and sometimes let them act by their free will....remember in chapter where orochimaru revived the previous hokages in the naka shrine... we saw 6 zetsus coming out from sasuke's body without even sasuke's realizing this...so the zetsus have ability to be integrated within humain bodies and emerge...
-the spiral zetsu's name is "Tobi"
-Tobi is good boy is in fact the spiral zetsu and not obito...becuz white zetsu called spiral zetsu "good boy" for helping obito get out of the cave to rescue Rin...years later the white zetsu called the masked man good boy..
-if you noticed well how black zetsu treated the masked man throught the series :
1- sometimes he calls him stupid idiot (that was spiral zetsu)
2- sometimes he gives him advices/orders (hard to interpret) that was obito
3- and most of the time he act like servant pawn for the masked man (that was tobimadara)
-in chapter 601 the white zetsu was telling madara about "THE INSIDES" being well..that means they are more then 1 and at least 2 !!...and in chapter 602 we see spiral zetsu appear in manga again after long absence...so the spiral zetsu is clearly one of those insides...and the second inside is "TOBIMADARA" or the immortal madara or simply the 2nd Madara....
- in the manga there's a general rule : the central villain is the one who is supposed to be the final villain..and since tobidara is madara that explains well why madara is finall villain since he was the masked man tobi...but precisely precisely the finall villain is tobimadara...and i heared rumor that kishi said recently in an interview : "watch out for the finall villain..." i think he meant tobimadara or simply madara
