I only read the first chapter but I found it to be quite amusing. Amusing as in really corny but I gotta keep reading it anyways kind of deal. I like to laugh and this really put a smile on my face.

Yes, it is very funny. I don't know how anyone could confuse Naruto with the spin off or try to make a correlation between the two.

I agree, especially since the manga and anime seem to be aimed at a younger audience. Though I have to laugh at cross dressing Neji jokes.

Kinda sorta. Given the time period it wouldn't be uncommon for members of the same clan to have relations, but I'm not too familiar with ancient Japanese history. Still I think it's for more comedy than anything else. We just see it weird b/c of American culture.
