that fodder level genjutsu caught itachi with ease and he couldn't break out of it without sasuke.
OP you're a idiot rank doesn't determine power, it determines the level of chakra require and danger it poses to the caster.

He couldn't use the kai release method since he can't move,
And his sharingan wasn't helping him break it.

He couldn't use gen reversal either since sound gen uses a continuous medium. The only way to regain movement was to break what was restraining him in the genjutsu(which they did on each other) not even the genjutsu it self.

Still you cant prove that he couldnt think of something different, he easily make a plan how to break it fast. Hes genjutsu expert afterall.

Kuranai biting her lip isn't what broke her out of her own genjutsu. Especially since her lip wasn't bleeding when the genjutsu ended, and even if it was (its not) that doesn't mean it would work with all genjutsu's.

So then how Kurenai break that genjutsu? Manga never shows twice such small injury for example - They all biting fingers but you never saw that finger bleeding more than once, do you? Lol
Knowledge is NR1 again. Itachi even protects Sasuke with his Susanoo when Sasuke himself can use it, so do you think Itachi would trust that Sasuke can know something like biting his lip thing?Itachi didnt trust him even with Susanoo skills........
