It's already been explained that someone needs to have large chakra reserves in order to use Sage Mode...And, that one must balance Natural Energy with their Chakra in general...If you're more than low on chakra, it seems to make little sense attempting to use Sage Mode..

In order to use Frog Sage Mode, yes, indeed. But each SM has their own specific rules.
