well he should be able to absorb it since it is energy but u beg to differ the fact that radiation could kill madara, well i think thats wrong since madara can absorb the explosion when it hits as soon as it hits since the radiation builds up and is an after affect of the explosion it would never come into play since madara absorbed the explosion...

now if u mean madara absorbs the explosion and the explosion cause radiation in his body since preta path absorbs energy/chakra it would also absorb the drawbacks of it but i doubt that would or better yet could happen...

if poisons/toxins could affect this man than that would be a major flaw and his character design and simple things like a poisonous snake or shizune could kill madara, do u see how silly that sounds
