The Elder Son would be LONG dead, and he's been pretty minor so far as a character. Only his descendants have been noteworthy really...

But Yamato would serve to strengthen Spiral Zetsu which would make it seem more able to use Susenju.

What If Spiral Zetsu is Yamato and not an unconscious Yamato. Kishi stated in an interview that Yamato didn't exist at one point. Which means that he's completely lab made ( maybe ). I know that Madara created Spiral zetsu out of hashirama's cells but "SZ" could have also morph'd into a random person and turned himself in to one of Oro's hideouts. Just an Idea.

Edit - Oro just "thinks" that Yamato was a successful hashirama cell experiment, BUT all along he was already Madara's successful creation. Ya know?

The only one that would make sense is yamato. As we saw, yamato can boost zetsu's powers. So if zetsu took over yamato, it's likely that he would get way more powerful than the regular ones, which would explain why he is so above the others.

However, spiral zetsu might be just a very powerful zetsu too, and has been on NV since a long time, maybe one of madara's first zetsus, hence why he is so power. He got ages of training and experience.

Yamato isn't attacking Spiral Zetsu is, but using Yamato's power. Yamato would be inside because he was hooked up to that thing that created all the Zetsu in Madara/Obito's base.
