[Discussion] Where did the Mazou go?

In the last chapter as you can see here:

The Mazou seems to disappear.

Now, Madara wouldn't release his summoning on it since he is waiting for it to revive into the Juubi.

But, he also doesn't seem surprised either, since he nonchalantly jumps from it's head and lands in front of Sasuke.

Does anyone care to speculate as to where it could've gone?

Or do you just think it's disappearance has no significance?

He wants both his Rinnegan before he goes to the next stage, and beside that maybe he is going to take Yin Kyuubi

Well the last time the Juubi was reformed, it was behind a barrier and seemed to crawl out of the ground once formed. Maybe it disappeared last time and we just didn't see it.

Although Madara probably has other plans before fully reviving it.
