You make it seem like she tried to fix those messes.
She let sasuke live.
Sends/depends on naruto to handle nearly all cases with the akasuki even though their main goal is to capture him.
And she doesn't check up on danzo's schemes.

I could understand when it comes to hiruzen since oro was his student but to let sasuke run loose and naruto fight the akatsuki/oro is straight reckless.

Hashirama was super strong- failed to kill of Madara properly.

Tobirama was wise- failed to satisfy Uchihas properly.

Hiruzen learned from the two above - failed to handle Danzo, let a 13 year old boy shoulder the responsibility of saving Konoha at personal cost, failed to handle the threat Kumo posed and let Hiashi take the fall, Let Oro escape ( he was the one who destroyed Konoha first.) - in short compromised in every tough situation he ever faced.

Minato- died too early.

Tsunade came at a time when Konoha was running out of Hokage candidates and suffering from a double destruction(kurama's and the Oro's attack) and loss of two hokages within a period of 12 years and a major clan Uchiha.

She saved Kakshi and Sasuke and gave Naruto a chance going against Danzou. Lee who had lost any chance as a shinobi was able to persue the career once again because of her. She handled the village which was running short on shinobies. She extended the support to Sand and managed to get them as a closer allies.

Running a country which has constantly running into one problem after another and major wars is not a small feat. She was the reason Sasuke was not already being hunted as missing nin. If she was not open minded and efficient the elders and Danzou would have made her a puppet long time ago and Naruto would have been sent in confinement.

You can hate all you want. Konoha was lucky to have her.

Not a single point of agreement. I'll just Re-post a Hokage Comparison from another thread:

All of them are a bunch of *******s, bar Minato and Tsunade. As much as I hate the guy, the only problem I have with him is justifying that Naruto should bear the brunt of balancing out the Bijuu system. That was ****ing cruel. He literally sacrificed his new-born child for the sake of the villages arbitrary set-ups that had no sympathy for the lives of the poor children they selected as vessels. You know, scratch that, he is just as big a scum as the rest of them.

Tsunade is the only one who has ALWAYS put her foot down for the betterment of people, openly going against the wishes of advisers. This just shows that Hizuren could have done it as well. Every one of them were nothing but bastards. Hashirama gave out Bijuus to nations and started this whole mess. He is the one responsible for ALL the wars that have happened so far. The deaths of all these people are on his shoulders.

He made a mockery of the Democratic system by selecting Tobirama as the next Hokage, when he knew he was not a fair man, but quite the opposite. Tobirama cornered the Uchiha, made sure they never took part in the politics, when he had no right to create such a disgusting political segregation for a 'Founding Clan' that had an equal share in the Village's policies and political matters. It's like starting a business with someone and embezzling his share of the financial input - you cannot be a more underhanded mother fudger than this.

All of his political policies simply intensified the political conflicts, by creating elaborate Militia - something neither Madara nor Hashirama wanted for future generation. What both of these brothers basically did, were create an 'Intricate Nexus' of Militias to be employed for wide-scale wars - something 'FAR MORE' deadly and devastating than the singular Clan versus Clan Tussles. He literally laid Madara's and Hashirama's initial plans for peace asunder. Furthermore, Danzo and the Elders are a byproduct of his own decisions. Whatever these have done is his responsibility, as he never gave orders to leave the Uchihas be.

Hizuren never stopped the Clan segregation against the Uchihas or the Branch Hyuga Family. He could have negotatied them into the inner Jounin council but he didn't. He could have removed the survaillance, but he didn't. He could have made the Hokage Selection more democratic by removing the voting through the round-table Jounin council by giving the right in the hands of the people, but he chose not to. He could have limited Danzo's and the elders' activities within the political matter, yet he didn't. He could have put Danzo on a short leash, in lieu of giving them permission to commit acts of terrorism as he wished, yet he let all these matters go on unhindered.

He could have abolished the matter of seals on Hyuga Clans, but when the Raikage incident happened, he gave the head of Neji's poor father rather than protecting such a segregated Clan. It shows how disgusting this man was in regards to fair and even treatment of the Clans. He did nothing for Uchiha or Hyuga Branch Family. He let Orochimaru go, when he had killed so many for his experiments.

Bottom-line, when a Leader - Tobirama and Hizuren - cannot even be fair and unprejudiced for their people, then how on earth are they good leaders? Not only that, they escalated the matters and let them fester - one cannot be more despicable than this. I am no Tsunade fan, in fact, I cannot stand her, but she did more than all these people combined. The rest of them? Horrendously wanton leaders and Danzo is self-explanatory, but ALL and everything he did falls on Tobirama's shoulders as he was a direct result of his ideals.

well a hokage should safe keep the village as long as one can. It's not about the strongest or what. It's about your loyalty, love, and honor to your village.

Tsunade may not be the strongest at the time, but she is a decent hokage. Imagine if she's not there in the Madara Gokage fight, the others would have died.

The village was destroyed by pain so how did she keep it safe???

1 nope it was Danzou ft. Solo King Itachi and Obitobi

She was the strongest in her village when she was chosen... Jiraiya wouldn't choose some random person to run the village.
I can also highlight the best qualities in my favorite characters and then comparing them to others i dislike mentioning only negative stuff about them.
This isn't proof, this is bias o>o

Tsunade was not the strongest in the village either. Many ninja like Sage Mode Naruto, Sage Mode Jiraiya, Kakashi using Kamui etc could contend and destroy her. All those ninja's have been considered for hokage at one point or another as well. So the hokage being the strongest in the village was no longer correct. Her feats as hokage are nothing compared to her predecessors. Even now in the war, hiruzen is showing her up against the budha statue, being able to go blow to blow with it. She's arguably the worst hokage konoha has had and ever will have.

Are you foolish? They did not exist at the point she was made Hokage. She could pretty much destroy all of them at the time they made her hokage :X besides itachi of course and he was rougue, and also jiraya cuz he was picked first.


People get surpassed. They still consider her the strongest in the village Lol just wait for it.

I really am baffled at the amount of hate Tsunade has started to receive...

No matter what you say, she is the strongest Kunoichi in NV. Thing is, Kishi has a tendency of making male characters way stronger than female (I've got no problem with this tbh XD ) so you cannot expect her to compete with her counterparts (Hokage) however, she can easily compete with Gokage.

She is in top 15-20 as well.
