She looks the same because she can no longer be seen by 'normal' humans...it's an illusion created as humans don't wish to see death they see something different. In this case they see her as human...which just happens to be the image of her you are used to. In reality she is a reaper, a walking skeleton in a robe, that is all she sees. She can't see the human side anymore, as it is no longer there...*turns to leave for the garden but turns back to him*...what is your goal staying here? what would getting closer to her fulfil?
