Read the manga the arcs are better no filler and the story picks up immensely. The series is > 600 episodes judging it by 13 is hardly doing the series justice

the world is HUGE in comparison to Naruto and ppl like Sir Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Dracula Mihawk, Doflamingo, Aokiji, Law, and Fujitora are just beast

If you don't wanna read it is fine, but you can't adequately bash something without first hand knowledge. You barely got in to the story, the art improves, and you don't know any of the real villains that have come in to play.

There's nothing wrong with the art, IMO, my sig is from one piece, I never liked AOT's art (the manga) which doesn't make it a crap show, you don't hold justification by only posing critics on a show which you haven't seen, the villains in one piece are good. Since you haven't even seen it, I can bash the shows which you've seen and I haven't and criticise them accordingly by just reading two chapters.

I read up to the point where Zoro fought Mihawk for the first time.

Watched up the arc where they're in the desert and that sand dude is there.

I think seeing the 4Kids version first and the character designs made it lose appeal to me. The story line as far as I can tell are amazing. It just looks like One Piece is going to continue to span infinitely

Well, 4 Kids really does ruin the series. I gave up on the series until I watched it with the subs ( much better). The story is about half way through and has gotten MUCH heavier since the earlier episodes

If you could tell me the major themes i'd probably end up re-reading/re-watching all of one piece up to the current chapter. I can ignore the art as long as the story is good

Sky Island gives u us first peak into the 800 year gap in one piece world history
Water 7- agueably one of the best arcs in the series. Nothing I can tell you wouldn't spoil it. So I will just tell you everyone gets a power up here
Thriller Bark- Zombie land
Saobody- slave trade, tenryuubito, and epic mugiwara moments
Impel down great prison
The war of the best- some of the strongest pirates vs strongest marines
Fishman Island-,racism
Do flamingo arc- black market

That about sums it up with as few spoilers as possible

I don't worship kishi like I used to before because of certain reasons in naruto and a certain manga but I love what he has done.. He made my childhood and my university years!

Yes I'm on episode 12 of hunter x hunter and YES I see all those similarities .. Even the exam seems copy n pasted in some parts including hisoka being orochimaru. You should try reading more manga, it'll open ur eyes. Naruto is only one type of series...
