It's been a few years since the chapter where ace died came out...it is like saying "The Titanic Sank" :eww:

No it's like saying in a thread called "going to watch Titanic the movie for the first time" Jack will die at the end. That the Titanic will sink is common sense because it's part of history. An event within a fictional story is not common sense, so that's why it is a **** move to spoil it even after the OP made clear he is new to the story.

Luffy seems like a rare breed of main characters that are more or less universaly liked

For alot of other animes all you read is he is too weak,he is too soft,he is a pusseh etc etc

Welcome to the family!. I just caught up to the latest episode last week. But he is the best main character I have ever watched. But the series as a whole is filled with so many iconic people!

Just started hunter x hunter ( 2which is supposed to be as good as OP)

Hxh is a great series but some of the text, naration and way too excessive explanations make it way too slow at times, but is is still awesome, hope you will enjoy it as well
