Well obviously Naruto deserves it more then him... but I think Sasuke would definitely be the more interesting Hokage. He'd be the mix of Danzo and Hashirama. He's in the grey, he'd make the choices that need to be made.

And besides his charisma and power Naruto isn't really fit to be a Hokage in my eyes. What's he going to do? Let Shikamaru handle all the political stuff that comes with the job? The paper work? Yeah... Some Hokage.

I find Naruto's goal to remove hatred and achieve peace to be the epitome of naivety. In this regard he's still just a little child that's in over his head. Sasuke's goal to change the system is still a stretch but also a lot more realistic. With ultimate Political power, changing it can be done. Whereas removing hatred and achieving peace CAN'T be done unless he's willing to alter free-will which is no better then Obito's goal. For peace there must also be hatred, there will always be people out there with hatred and this is something Naruto just needs to accept.

Naruto's goal for years was to be acknowledged, and he is acknowledged, by the whole world. Sasuke's goal comes off as way more personal, with the whole Itachi thing and all.

Do you guys think that Sasuke should be hokage? Because unlike Naruto, Sasuke actually wants to change the system of the shinobi world. He actually wants to do something that benefits the world, while Naruto wanted to be acknowledged by his village which he gained during the pain arc so really there's no point of him being hokage.

What do you guys think?

He clearly has the power to be considered for the position. If the hokage is supposed to be the strongest ninja in the village, Sasuke definitely ranks as one of the candidates. We can argue all day long about whether Naruto is stronger or Sasuke is stronger, but either way I can't see hardly any other people who compete with those two.

That said, We've heard over and over again that Hokages need to be acknowledged by the village, and we know that the jonins need to vote to approve the hokage. It's hard to imagine that the future jonins of the village, most of whom were witness to Orochimaru's invasion and Sasuke's fall from goodness, will ever believe that Sasuke has the heart to become hokage. The people who need to vote for him just don't like him as much as they like the other options (especially, Naruto).

This is all not to mention that Sasuke tried to kill several of the other kage (and succeeded in severely wounding the raikage). If Sasuke does become hokage, it could create a major problem for peace between the villages. With everybody talking about an enduring alliance and a time of peace (if they can win the war), I can't imagine they'd put a "war criminal" in charge of konoha and expect everybody to be happy with that.

Honestly no, you don't become a world known criminal hunted by the kage, and just say I want to make a village. But then again lets see what he does in the upcoming chapters.

Naruto reasons are "weaker"?

He have being working his as* off to bring equality to Ninja world, Jinchurikkis and even Bijuus.
Better than talking, he have being working on it more than any other ninja since Hashirama and Madara

Yes, Sasuke NOW have good reasons, but even the "new" Sasuke is an indirect result of Naruto's way of thinking.
Naruto have the soul of a leader, Sasuke the head of one.

Did you miss the countless times Naruto said he wanted to bring peace to the world and break the curse of hatred.

You need to reread the TNJ with Nagato and the TNJ with Obito.

Naruto said he would bring peace to the world, Sasuke never talked about peace.. He talked about change, that is Sasuke's goal. To change the world based on the information he has in order to ensure that the same mistakes won't happen again. Naruto on the other hand is walking the footsteps of Hashirama, and will most likely make the same mistakes as him if he is elected as a Hokage. Naruto also shares the traits of Jiraya, and Jiraya also dreamed of attaining peace and he even wished to become Hokage at some time. However he refused that title, and he sought peace. Naruto isn't fit, needed or have any decent reason to become Hokage. Also if he does, then history will repeat itself, meaning that he will continue the circle. Something has to change, and that something is that the counterparts changes the seats. You can also take a look at the teams of Konoha and see an easy pattern;

Hashirama and Madara
Madara is refused as the Hokage, and Hashirama is made it instead. Madara also refused to become Hokage. ( Hashirama being alike Naruto )

Team Hiruzen
Jiraya and Orochimaru both wished to become Hokage, however Jiraya thanked no and Orochimaru was chased out of the village. ( Jiraya being alike Naruto )

Team Minato
Obito wished to become the Hokage, but lost the opportunity by his own choice. Kakashi was suppose to become the 6th Hokage, but Danzo stepped in. ( Obito being alike Naruto. However, later Kakashi and Obito switched roles and Kakashi become alike Naruto )

Team Kakashi
Both Naruto and Sasuke wishes to become Hokage.

Madara
Orochimaru
Kakashi

They are all alike Sasuke, and its easy to see that connection.

Hashirama
Jiraya
Obito

They are all alike Naruto, again easy to see the connection.

So lets see, everyone who has been alike Sasuke at some point has been refused or other wise never attain the rank of Hokage. While those that are alike Naruto either attained the rank or had the opportunity to attain it but they chose not to.. So if Naruto is elected as the Hokage, then the pattern will continue and the circle will continue. Which ruins Naruto's goal, his reason, his character and the series.

OH wow, I can't believe someone actually said Sasuke cares about the villagers over Naruto. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

Clearly Naruto is a preferable choice for Hokage on all fronts, I really don't get how this is even debate anymore.

I wonder what would happen if they became joint leaders?!? Sasuke as the mind and Naruto as the Soul?

Hard to say, I think he would make a good Kage, his past is his problem tho but he will redeem himself in this war I guess.

I have this feeling that Naruto will drop his dream and let his best friend become Hokage so the circle can end just like Katakitsu said.
